Yep. Amazon was like $28 and $33, SW $12.98 and I got candy!
I really like SW. Never had anything but stellar service and my guy will always work with me on the price of a significant purchage. I'm only 5 hours or less away and keep thinking I'm going to head up there one day. But maybe that's not really a good idea. Who could go and not intensely want to buy something? Several somethings.

What??? My guy has sent only what my wife prefers. You need a new guy.
I don’t remember if I told you, so I’ll tell it maybe again. I gave positive feedback when I bought my daughter’s Baby Taylor, but mentioned they forgot the candy. A few days later, she received these.

I get very good service from my local L&M. For strings, generally I go to Fret Nation (formerly Bass Strings Online) because I can't get better prices and selection. And for everything else I go to Sweetwater because they are very good.

I can't seem to find a direct comparison of the Epiphone Thunderbird Classic Pro and the Epiphone Thunderbird Vintage Pro. Can someone tell me more about the two? What do you think about them?
My personal take owning both...
Classic Pro: perfectly balanced with amazing Gibson pups
Vintage Pro: Prettier with all the chrome bits, nicer burst, and gold knobs...but neck diver due to old school ginormous headstock and pups just ok

If you're talking about a Gibson NR Thunderbird equipped with Humbucker pickups (either single or double) and a Mahogany set neck with a Mahogany body it's a world of difference from a Fender type PJ.

If you're talking an Epiphone PJ equipped NR with a bolt on neck and ash (?) body it might not be as much of a difference from a typical PJ Fender type offering.
A better answer than I woulda come up with. My 67 NR is Honduran mahogany with humbuckers. The EpiBird 5er that I had was alder(?)with P/J pups and even with the EB cobalt flats, never had the sound that I wanted. Close, but no WEO.

Does that look like the anchors were epoxy'd while not fully seated? I have had to glue them in before.
Can't say, but it's a recent development. I don't see any signs of glue or Epoxy at this point. I'l have to pull the bridge and set up to re-set that post, then I'll find out I guess.
Toothpicks and some wood glue should handle it, if there's no complicating trip waiting for me. Like a lump of Epoxy...

what do you (not) like about the various pickups?
