The most bizarre questions and comments always come about when I play the fretless 'Bird in front of people. That's always good for a round of explaining by means of wisearse comments.

Him- "hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones who doesn't have the headstock snap off."
Me- "on two separate occasions, this bass has gotten knocked off the stand on a drum riser and landed face first on a hardwood stage. Still fine."

He eventually gave up and started telling me all about his gear and why it was superior. His tone was terrible and his playing was even worse :)

I got a set of the Earpeace, and one of the Vibes. I'l post after I know which set I'm keeping.

I have narrow ear canals, these two offered the most options for size.

(This is way overdue, like many acts that would stem from a responsible attitude. Better late than deaf.)
