He spelled "lifeguard" correctly. 8^) Which makes for a great mental image. I mean, the audience would never notice!

Watched a movie and in the extras they had 3 Russell Crowe & TOFOG film clips. Decided to watch them also.
movie ‘A Good Year’ was average but ok, could have been improved if they went a bit closer to the plot from the book...
Songs, liked 2 from 3 and the other liked enough.
this one surprised me. Different to Russ Le Roq in a good way.
Looked like a fun night

Too kind...thx Count!!Got to concur, that bass suits you. Cool axe, cool player.
We got a lot of cool, fun, bad, and hep going on here.
I really enjoyed “A Good Year” probably because I’m a big fan of the region...
notice the street sign in both, French and Provençal...

Got mine a few hours ago.The black with gold emblem PG arrived today. It fits, not super precise with the hole placement, but close enough. A few minor barely noticeable surface scratches, but not bad. So it’s on the ‘15. Looks different without the white, but I’m liking it.

Just a few miles from my house. Its a cool looking bass, not too fond of the single large pickguard vs a chrome mustang control plate with smaller tort pickguard, but to each his own. IIRC these are a bit more mid focused than a modern Gibby TBird but they snarl even more than a VP on that back pup (@dukeorock can confirm or correct that since he has one).Huh. Agoura Hills. Not too far. I’ve got to stop this.....
I would agree that the Fano is more mid focused than a modern Gibson and ‘snarl’ describes the bridge pickup nicelyJust a few miles from my house. Yes, for the white one.Hi Brad, do I have you on the list?
As did I. It’s one of the few movies I watched more than once. I usually really enjoy Ridley Scott’s films. And Abbie Cornish is yet another talented and exquisite Aussie actress.I really enjoyed “A Good Year” probably because I’m a big fan of the region...

Provençal is a variation of Occitan which is spoken as far as parts of Spain and Italy....seems to to be the case often where the book outshines the movie..Provençal ? Or Occitan ?
200 odd years ago I had some ancestors kinda sorta nearby - a few spots along / near-ish the Rhone river.
I loved the Peter Mayle book ‘A year in Provence’ , I could relate to it!
anyway I read ‘A good year’ (Peter Mayle again) between Christmas and New Year. So I grabbed the movie. It was good enough, but the book is better.
I think it was the first movie shown when they opened the Cinerama Theatre in San Diego. Or maybe it was How the West Was Won. Seeing movies there was magical for us when we were young.I still remember going to see that movie when I was young and it came out - Watched it again about a month ago, still a fun movie!
Huh. I've had 3 sets. No problems with any. Weird-but so am I.
God I miss him.

I still need to play around with neck pickup height as I’m sure I’ll eventually bring it up a bit. I wouldn’t argue your point on the looks because that’s very subjective, but I find it to be a nice looking bass, decent balance and weight. I’m kinda liking the mids and punch. Gonna take it to a gig tomorrow and see, but I’ve got 3 gigs on it and have been really happy so far![]()
absolutely...your tone that night was stellar..It is a nice looking bass! Mids and punch is were I gravitate to. Did you hear that from the audience at Winters when you saw/heard us Chucky?

Cool patch. My late father spent the Korean war freezing and fighting on a quad-50 halftrack with the 45th infantry division. Apparently somebody different than the happy-go-lucky guy came back home. They were known as the "Thunderbirds" as they originated in Oklahoma. Before the Nazis came to power, their patch was a Native American swastika. They wisely changed to a symbol near and dear before WW2...
