funny you say that, I recently heard a Parisian tell a French Canadian to please speak to him in English cause he couldn’t understand him...

I'ze born and raised French-Canadian (Quebec province, just across the river from Ottawa, in a city called Gatineau) and even find some of our "dialects" sometimes hard to follow.
People from the the Madeleine Islands often talk rather fast with their own accents, so one really has to pay attention to understand them.
Then you have your typical Saguenay Lac St-Jean area resident, who usually has a drawl that recalls what you hear from Texans and Alabamians and uses words and expressions that have a different significance to him than to other French-Canadians.
And of course, people from my native area are to some extent rather strongly influenced by English Canadian and American languages and cultures, so that gives way to interesting variations as well. I worked in Ottawa and various parts of Ontario and had frequent contact with the Franco-Ontarians and they also have differences in their French.
We're quite the language mosaic up here

Black strap pins with gold screws
Black control knobs with gold inserts and numbers (that go to 11)
True Black pickguard screws (vs current chrome black)
Gold painted pup poles (with current black pup covers)
Black or Brass nut (vs current white nut)
That should complete the look. Won't sound any better but it will look unique.

I think the increasing "social awareness" of the trauma and culture shock vets may (do) go through is a good thing. Although we've got a more "feely" society rife with snowflakes and delicate sensitivities (I kid...), it may add up to a more normalized idea of mindfulness.
I've had some friends who served in wartime, one guy I knew couldn't live among the general population for 5 years afte he got home from Viet Nam. He lived in a tent, stayed out of the fray altogether. He got through it, and by the time we met him he was ready to become "Uncle Jimmy" to our daughters. He once ate an earthworm in front of them, got a loud, resounding "Eeeewwwwww!!" out of them (they were four and six), it was awesome.
I felt kinda bad for the worm though...
Here's something we don't often see in our locals: 2 Gibson TBirds for sale at the same time and in the same city. Heck, we rarely see one in the whole province...

1977 Gibson Thunderbird, Seller asking 6000 CDN, so about 4600$ US, if my beans are correctly counted.

2011 Gibson Blackbird, seller asking 2800$, so 2100$ US or so.
Ad translation: super clean very rare, excellent neck. Only possible trade: Precision Custom Shop The Gibson Blackbird was a custom Thunderbird model made to specifications requested by Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx. Originally to be named the "Sixxbird", the Blackbird was manufactured from 2000 to 2003. It differed from the Thunderbird IV in the following details: The fingerboard was made from ebony and had iron cross inlays. An "opti grab" handle was added to the normal Thunderbird bridge, The only electronic control was a single on/off switch for the two humbucker pickups. The pickguard was designed specifically for the Blackbird All hardware on the Blackbird were finished in black chrome. The Blackbird had a flat-black finish. The pickups were renamed as 'Deep Sixx' pickups.
