Ok string freaks. The Gibson came to me with “I dunno, EB probably” strings on it. Whatever they are they seem fine, new and clean (no crud in them).

I’d just like to know what they are. I’m thinking DR Hi Beams maybe.

they have no silk at either end, all ball ends are gold.

One of the few basses I regret selling. Yes, they weigh a ton, but no other passive bass has such amazing tonal variety and it might be my favorite neck shape of all time. One of the most underrated basses ever, IMO.

That thread gave me nothing but GAS. Then I went to websites of companies that caught my eye. More GAS. @winteremute is really good at it.

I saw the Nordstrand stuff and was a bit surprised. I thought I read he didn’t have the time anymore to devote to building. Do you know if he changed his mind or was he just clearing out? He’s a talented guy.

I was hoping Peavey was coming out with a T40 again!
I regret selling mine as well. A lot of cool features for it's time.

Very talented guy! I think he’s possibly outsourcing production on those retro looking basses. Could be wrong
