My brother and I do the Monkees arrangement of Steppin Stone with the Sex Pistols attitude. Best of both worlds.
The Monkees weren't the only band who did that one -

Got the T-40-Bird back from the luthier this last Saturday and used it at a gig that night, sounds great! I had him install coil taps on each pickup which are really useful, lots of tones available.

There's always Stepping Stone.
This version goes over well with the cocktails by the pool set:
[edit] PillO beat me to it. The man, the legend, the melon. He's on it.

The first recording. I am of the opinion that the Monkees had the best arrangement and the Sex Pistols had the best attitude. I think there are a number of versions floating around on spotify. It is so simple any idiots can play it (making it a great choice for the Monkees, Sex Pistols, and me).
I suspect it's been in a fair number of places and for some time. No one has known it with no need to be testing for it until recently. With flu going around, I suspect a good number might have had it and not known it.Stay safe. First case in New York State just reported as well. . .
I agree. It's not complicated but is just right. You can tell because it makes your butt want to move around. Complicated is way overrated.Huh? that bassline is a masterpiece.....all about the feel...
And your boss....is the boss?We had our first death from the Wuhan here in Washington State, so we got that going for us.
My boss believes in some pretty wacky theories and he found this guy who says “gans water” is the cure, so he made a bunch and brought it to the office telling us all to drink some each day. TBH I tried a sip just out of curiosity. Tastes like metal and the taste stays for hours after. So yeah, I got that going for me too. The boss believes Bigfoot is real, they came from another planet, they live in a different phase (which is why sightings are so rare and always fuzzy) and they are communicating with him. He also believes you can cure illness with your mind, which contradicts his water theory, but TF do I know.![]()
way more fun when played on one of these...I agree. It's not complicated but is just right. You can tell because it makes your butt want to move around. Complicated is way overrated.
You have the distinctive ability to be interesting with or without the need for strategic use of watermelons. So much to unpack from such a short post.
My recommendations for dealing with your boss.*
- WRT gans water - argue that you homeopathic remedy is more potent. I can be proven as you have had the homeopathic preparation tested and no active ingredient has been detected!
- WRT bigfoot, you really have to beat him/her to the insanity. Claim that bigfoot is a human/alien hybrid that was hunted nearly to extinction by native americans and that there is a secret movement by [insert you boss's most hated or beloved politician] to have all bigfoot bestowed with US citizenship to allow them to exercise their franchise in the November election.
Much more seriously, there is reason to be cautiously optimistic about Covid19. SARS and MERS were both corona viruses and we got through those. But more interesting is the work done about a decade ago about the Spanish Flu of 1918; one of the most deadly flu pandemics(40-100mm casualties depending upon which estimate you like). An analysis showed that there was a harvesting effect. There far fewer deaths from TB in the 5 years following the pandemic. In effect, those who died from the flu were likely to die from TB in the next 5 years. Those most at risk from Covid19 are those already suffering some other lung disease. That does not mean that some otherwise healthy people won't die, but that they are at lesser risk.

There's actually real medicine for his condition! Hint at classification: antipsychotics. Several varieties, one of which might prove helpful.I feel like beating him to the insanity was missed long ago. Last year he told me this hour long story about how what he calls "The Bigfoot People" came to this world from their world through a wormhole that they were able to open, and that their planet was dying forcing them to come here. Only a handful of them were able to make it through before the wormhole collapsed. Apparently there's this book author who oddly enough lives in the next town over who spent his life researching The Bigfoot People and learned how to open the wormhole, he did so and was able to bring more of The Bigfoot People here. So now The Bigfoot People watch over the book author, because he is their savior. After my boss met the book author and started studying this, he now feels that the The Bigfoot People are watching over him too, because he knows the truth and believes. The book author came to the office last year and him and the boss went to lunch together, it was an amazing month around the office!
So yeah, pretty sure the "beating him to the insanity" boat sailed a long time ago man!![]()
Hoping you and your Ashdown continued improvement.Good afternoon to my Thunderbird loving sisters and brothers. I hope all have had a good day. I am slowly getting over the cold from hell and getting ready to hit the road in the morning. I retrieved my little Ashdown amp from its second trip to the tech. It seems he may have found the issue. While there is still a little hiss, it is considerably quieter than before. It is too much fun to drive that little thing right over the edge, without being too loud. The Bird sounds great with the gain about noon, giving a thick saturated tone. I am currently running it through a Rumble 2X10 cab. It will be interesting to see what is possible with it when I return and can give it more time.
I hope everyone has a relaxing evening. Stay well.
Thank you?You have the distinctive ability to be interesting with or without the need for strategic use of watermelons.

Apparently the big advantage of being rich is that you can be crazy and people just say "he's eccentric". I haven't figured out the monetary breaking point where that happens, but I know it's more than I have. There's actually real medicine for his condition! Hint at classification: antipsychotics.
