Parked outside mine,

1.6 hdi diesel
60 ish mpg
0-60 in as many hours.
Independent rear seats so will carry 4x10 combo, bag of wires etc, 3 or 4 basses (not all thunderbirds) and 4 people including driver.
Could have done with one of these when I was gigging but not as nice looking as this.

I saw the thread and felt really bad for you. Hope you get it straightened out quickly.

I’m casually researching an amp head and cab setup and am really wanting a tube head. My first real amp was a Bassman 50 that was great in my bedroom, but nowhere else. No volume, but the sound was amazing. The Traynor YBAs intrigues me (if I can ever find a place to try them). Or Ampeg, but I’m not convinced they’re getting back to good stuff even though Yamaha now owns them. Maybe 7ender. The pragmatist in me says don’t do that. Get a Mesa D800+ with matching 4x10 cab and call it a day. But then there’s new Darkglass stuff, Berg Protege’, Aguilar, and the new GK. But at my age, I can probably go all tube and anything that goes wrong will happen immediately while under warranty or not until long after I’m gone.

Seems like class D is in your future to use while the iron is in the shop and have as a backup. You’re much more knowledgeable than I am about how to compensate for non-tube tone, but it seems to be easy enough. I’m interested in hearing what you do.

The Traynor gear is really well priced. Might be worth a trip north.

I may also be worth checking guitar heads. No reason that they won't work with bass. IIRC Tom Peterson uses Orange guitar heads.

Yesterday we reached the point where we finally get to see what it will look like. It’s the perfect mix of super cool and ridiculously silly, which is exactly what I was after.

Stay tuned for a NBD, I think I found the Goth a new home and found what I really wanted, all at the same.

I'd love to. Let's see: $x for passport photos and passport; more $ for gas, oil, motels for round trip to nearest L&M; piss off band members by disappearing for 7-10 days; and, of course, cost of Traynor. Totally worth it.
ETA: there are some Traynor dealers in FL, but none 'in stock'.

wow cool, I had an MK2000 when I lived in Britain. mine was a Chicane made in RSA and only one of 4 in England. loved the electric overdrive switch on the shifter....fun drive!
