Thunderbird Club

Eventually I did get a 2nd Lull Pup for the bridge. And wood floors. But I still like this pic. Looks like I was also trying some foam mutes on the bridge for that funky thud.

At first I didn't like the AIMS amp. Then I saw that is a "Personalized Bass Sound System". Well, in that case.....

Didn't like their sound? Maybe the N.A.M.E plate on the back was for etching ones name on similar to the Flip-tops with the clear plastic lighted Ampeg plate which for a small fee could have your name engraved on it.

If he was +ve for Corona, you would end up with tainted Soylent Green...

Soylent Green. What a great flick. A Clockwork Orange was another.

What you got back home, little sister, to play your fuzzy warbles on? I bet you got, say, pitiful, portable picnic players. Come with uncle and hear all proper! Hear angels' trumpets and devils' trombones. You are invited!

Took the NR on Saturday and practiced social distancing.Took breaks outside in the van..Looks like that will be the last gig for a while even though I'm booked for the rest of the year
On a side note I talked with a friend in another band about the current restrictions of gatherings of over 50 people..he says that works for him because his band can't draw more than 25 people anyway. :)

Take care.

yeah, bar owner friends are talking about turning their bars into Speakeasys with keys or memberships...

I have to say I'm disappointed that so many are still trying to play gigs to crowds while this ninja virus is making its rounds. Don't know what to say really. I'm even at odds with some of my local music-can friends.

Disappointed is all.
Until two weeks ago I was playing three gigs on average per week. Last one exactly a week ago. Done until further notice...

We had a 69 Beetle but only when we were too big for that trick.
However my Uncle had a couple of earlier Beetles when we were young (before that same 69 and type 3s) plus some other family friends, so certainly not immune to trying that.

Took my sister for a 5km walk on Saturday followed by breakfast. On the drive to drop her home we saw a Beetle coming the other way and she says ‘that Beetle we had was my favourite’.
Funny that today we are talking about Beetles.
I had a 70, 72 and a 73. Still have my Karmann Ghia convertible. I guess I might have time to work on it. Won’t be gigging or rehearsing for a while.
