A Manic Metal Monday! And the best bass for metal Monday is a Silverburst! Even though I couldn't get the Supertone to fit correctly, the inserts seem to be holding with the three point after three days. So this is how it’ll be for the foreseeable future, @GonePlaid’s recommended lock and all!

That's really cool. Reminds me of my Pioneer Super Tuner. Scratch that. That was what was in my car. can't recall what model my Pioneer tuner was. You know I had a friend (keyboard player) who had a--don't laugh--Realistic tuner from Radio Shack. Man that thing was really something. When he first told me what he bought I rolled my eyes (to myself).

Not at all! It's a Pro-Ject Debut III. I'd link to the manufacturer page, but it's kinda dead. I got it when my old Technics died. This one is interesting in that it's completely manual. Doesn't even auto-retract. If you want to go from 33 to 45, you have pull off the platter and move the belt to another rung.

Yep. Know that system well. The Linn LP12 only ran at 33, although there was an adapter you could attach to the drive puller to run at 45.

Not fit correctly? What was it doing?

I’ve got my original Pioneer SX 424 in a closet that I’m thinking maybe @Chucky Stiletti migjt be able to help out with. I’ve got that and the Carvin bass amp that needs some expert help. When I can head north...

The inserts are about 2 mm too close together. The three point is very sung. But the Supertone won’t seat properly. I messed with it for a couple hours and it will not install properly. I put the Supertone on the Goth. Not sure I like the chrome look, but the bridge is very nice. I’ll post pics
after dinner.
As I have said before, adventures in three point land.

I'm pretty sure this was what I had. Learned a lot of music on my Thunderbird with it.
