When clearly the correct answer is Yngwie Malmsteen?
Uhh dont like that guys attitude. We booed him off the stage. He had come out and said some effed up stuff about how lousy he thought our town(Anchorage) was. Things were said, things were thrown and he stormed off stage after three songs. Everyone left. Hes good, just an arse.

Only been there once, about ten years ago, but we had a fun trip. Would love to get to go back.

yeah saw him a couple of times, great player but what a chip on his shoulder!
Poor guy..

And no-one, even Hendrix played guitar/performed like Prince -

I've often thought that Prince was the ultimate guitar performer of our time. Sure there's great guitar players out there SRV, Hendrix, Clapton, Bonamassa, Bucket Head...
But they all lacked the showmanship, smooth coolness and self image that Prince had. Prince had SRV's groove, Jimmi's theatrics, Claptons soul, Bonamassa's depth and Bucket Heads chops all wrapped up in an attractive package oozing in sensual overtones. IMHO Prince is to Guitar what Frank Sinatra was to crooning.

Nice little live solo work...

Completely outrageous and utterly brilliant.

In that particular performance - all the heavies on stage were doing GH's 'trademark' song justice and then Prince seals the deal, and you can see that everyone set him up for it. I agree - utterly brilliant.

I agree - but Buckethead has a pretty unique robot-esque stage persona that he illustrates pretty successfully. That combined with his artful minimalism "look" (white, expressionless theatrical mask, jumpsuit and white Les Paul with red chaos pads) offers a 'showcase' soloist of the highest degree. Shredding gets old pretty fast but his 'schtick' keeps it alive for longer than it probably deserves ...

Yeah, I threw that out because he is almost universally reviled. In the 80s, he was a great shredder; I don't think that his talents extend beyond that (and I don't think he bothered to work on any other skills). His arrogance far exceeds his talent.
