I saw that elsewhere. Really fair price here as far as I'm concerned. Some don't like the sidewinders, but I think that sound great. Slightly different, but still sounds like a thunderbird and great. It's not the infamous missing '79. But works just fine for me.
If i had the dough.

The bass has landed and is about to have a chrome swap with his silver burst. He threw on some gold dials after putting it together and he also said the action was great.
Not sure about you guys, but I hate the time in between shipping a bass and having the bass delivered. So many things can go wrong... this transaction went great!

That looks so good, I almost wouldn't care what it sounds like! Downright stunning!
Hmmm. A VP in that color would simply be out of control with all that chrome!!!
Flats on a Thunderbird? Nahh!
That's what I thought when I bought Embassy3 for parts. As you know, it is so nice I decided to keep it whole. I've had it a while now, and I get it, the Chrome lights feel and sound so good on it, I can't imagine taking them off. It adds a thickness to an already powerful sound. I can't wait til it sees band practice, whenever that day comes.
Anyway, I get it, flats and Thunderbird PUPs are awesome.

Like Tom Petersson's would be even better!
I may have missed something as I have to blast through some posts to catch up, What bass is that? The wood (ahem) looks real smooth and nice(wondering what type it is). Please post more pictures, Im very curious. Got my ears perked up!That’s Truth. It’s so easy to get caught up in my own drama and forget that the other person has their own unique situation.
But we digress:

Like Tom Petersson's would be even better!
Yep. That's reason #423 why a person needs more than one Thunderbird.Flats on a Thunderbird? Nahh!

Resistance is futile!Another flats believer? say it ain't so!!!![]()
Rub it in why don’t ya. You should post a vid like @godofthunder59 occasionally does. I’d love to hear it in action.I agree. But think it could be condensed even further to, "treat other people how you would want to be treated," since that thought underlies all the good points he made in the book. The rest, as you say is filler.
In our case, treat others as if they are cool enough and wise enough to play Thunderbirds! Speaking of which, I got the '64 out last night and sure enjoyed that old piece of history. What a bass!
That’s local to you @Chucky Stiletti. Do you know that bird? It's not the infamous missing '79. But works just fine for me.
