Thunderbird Club

I may have missed something as I have to blast through some posts to catch up, What bass is that? The wood (ahem) looks real smooth and nice(wondering what type it is). Please post more pictures, Im very curious. Got my ears perked up!
It's a maple neck/ash wing Tbird I built myself years ago. I found my last post about it to save some typing:

?...
It's personal preference and what one is shooting for band context wise--but I'm eternally thankful none of my Thunderbirds ever sounded like that clip.
Not exactly my target sound either, actually not even close.

By the way, Rumble Seat Music is a cool place to visit and not far from Gruhn's. Premo vintage instruments. More like a museum.
I've bought a number of guitars and basses from them, always great to deal with, rarely the lowest price but usually very high quality. Unfortunately the one in Carmel closed a while ago. I made it a tradition to stop in and buy a bass there every time I was in the neighborhood. IIRC they're just down to one store now vs the three they used to have.

Let's not leave out Thunderbird loving Cat people, they're pretty cool too...

(not my cat, just a cutie on the interwebs. My last kitty was a Manx named Sammie , looked like a bobcat)

Attempt a count of toes on this kitty!

I'm guessing 24!

The bass has landed and is about to have a chrome swap with his silver burst. He threw on some gold dials after putting it together and he also said the action was great.

Not sure about you guys, but I hate the time in between shipping a bass and having the bass delivered. So many things can go wrong... this transaction went great!

Awesome :bassist:
