Thunderbird Club

Happy Canada Day (some of us still call it Dominion Day).

It is a bit like your American Independence Day, except Canadians being a polite sort, didn't fight a war for secession; we just waited around until the Queen got sick of us and booted us out.

So, what kind of Canadian Thunderbirdy sort image could represent all that?

GP = General Population, a standard TBird Club reference for the main page of the Talkbass website where links are posted to the top 12 most active threads on Talkbass. Basically it's any non club thread. Frequently it's a thread started by the original poster (OP) to make a statement, share an observation or ask a question of the entire Talkbass community. Some past gems include - "Help me, I just got mad and stabbed my speaker cabinet" or "I just got a used bass pedal but it didn't come with a box" or "tracking down my stolen bass while hitting Taco stands around the city"...

Or in other contexts it might be your doctor.

Didn't the women bathe in the train's water supply?
That they did. And of course hung their petticoats over the edge of the tank to keep them dry. I thought you'd appreciate the train reference...

I do love the look of those, more so the original body shape. One of these days I'll have to try one on for size and hear how it sounds.

John Taylor with a prototype.

On Canada Day, I feel I must share my favorite Canadian joke with the group.

A man was sitting in a bar in downtown Detroit across the river from Windsor, ON.

He got louder and louder with every pour and he exclaimed, "There's nothing but hockey players and lumberjacks in Canada!"

A Canadian sitting at the bar with his wife just a few stools down was already annoyed with the loud sot and upon hearing this said, "Take it easy over there, eh. Me and my wife are from Canada."

The drunk Detroiter looked confused and slightly amused when he had to ask, "Oh yeah, what team does she play for?!" That's when the gloves were dropped.

:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Happy Canada Day to all our neighbors to the North or in this case, to the south since Windsor is south of most of Michigan.

;)
