Don't know that I'd go so far as to say impeccable :cautious:

But I do have an Associate degree in electronics (from almost 30 years ago, though). A long time ago I also used to do repairs on computers, TVs, and radios part-time while going to school. :bookworm:
Later I got roped into doing automotive wiring/electronics/computer diagnostics & repair for a bit :vomit:

So, I know enough to know which end of the soldering iron is the hot end, but not so good as to not burn myself with it occasionally :roflmao:
very cool, be ready for many "Likes"!..:D

Hi all,

So it was a hard decision for my 1st Tbird (not really) but I decided on a 2014 in the Walnut/Natural color. I’m a sucker for natural finishes and I absolutely love love that look on this style of bass. It was pretty much love at first sight. So classy. I’ll post pics when I get it and convert it to lefty.

Thanks for the help all. :)

You are going to make us wait to see a Thunderbird! Such cruelty!

Congratulations on getting it. The non-burst natural ones look great. You don't see those very often, either.

Hellooooooooo PDX. :)

Well, as it turns out, all that shielding made an exactly 100% difference. :jawdrop:
However, I was wrong about the pre-amp being the main culprit. I grounded the shielding in stages, and there was no change at all, until I grounded the pickup cavities :bored:

Nice work! I’ve got a couple basses that could use that. Not any of my birds though. Next time I’m in Sacto I’ll bring ‘em by...
