There is a rout for wiring under the pickguard.

Not positive but I think we pretty much established that all modern neck through Gibby and Eppi birds have the route under the pickguard, but many of the bolt on and set neck birds don't. Is that correct?

Traditional installation is no ring on a pup in the pickguard, only on pups without a pickguard surrounding them. But nothing says you have to be a traditionalist. FWIW - I like it better without.

I normally like the rings, but on this one I'm torn. Both look bad. I'll take it off your hands. No reason you have to live with the bad outcome.

I am torn. Both look equally well. Without is a little more sleek in some ways. Don't think you can go wrong.

From my extensive sample size of one neck-through and one bolt-on, I'd say you are correct!

Got the BaCH back from John Kallas today. He put the tummy cut in, did some filling and additional sanding. Gotta hit the sides and neck with some grain filler, the. It’s time for the base coat/sealer.
