Hate that guy!
He is 70, but doesn't look a day over 40!
Wonder if he has a portrait he has to look at every day...

I’m pretty sure I heard he lived in White Rock which is on the other side of Boundary (aka Mud) Bay from my place.Paul Rodgers is incredible. I agree that he sounds like his voice has not changed at all.
I thought we was living in a suburb of Vancouver as he had married a Canadian girl. Perhaps it is one of those suburbs that straddles the border?
For those of us on this side of the Rockies, Kelowna is a suburb of Vancouver...I’m pretty sure I heard he lived in White Rock which is on the other side of Boundary (aka Mud) Bay from my place.
I like the early Skynyrd albums. Despite SHA having turned into a redneck anthem, there are anti-racist and anti-gun songs. Many argue that he is no longer Canadian.
Around where I grew up, Southern Rock was quite popular. I still listen to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Molly Hatchett. 38 Special not so much anymore (and they no longer have two drummers - that is what made them special!).
Well then, Paul Rodgers is my neighbour. For those of us on this side of the Rockies, Kelowna is a suburb of Vancouver...![]()

One of the best concerts I've ever seen was very early Molly Hatchet about the time of the first album. They really good. Gradually went downhill after they changed producers as far as I was concerned.
Somewhere along the line the term redneck got re-defined. It used to mean somebody who worked hard out in the sun and earned a hard days living through physical labor. In other words, it was a way for the sophisticated to look down on somebody. (Kind a like calling farmers sodbusters.) Somewhere along the line it got re-defined into a moron--generally from the American South. Morons certainly come from every place on earth.I like the early Skynyrd albums. isn't Idaho in Canada?..That's right though somewhat unexpected. I recall he mentioned he met her through Lynyrd Skynyrd. He said he was good friends with them and somehow met her through them. Even more of an odd connection. Who knew LS knew Canadia ns!
Well then, Paul Rodgers is my neighbour.
Fun fact: Kelowna has a suburb called Rutland![]()
Molly Hatchet - First 3 albums for me. Then the decline. One of the best concerts I've ever seen was very early Molly Hatchet about the time of the first album. They really good. Gradually went downhill after they changed producers as far as I was concerned.
Saw 38 Special several times. They were on fire in concert back in the day. Unfortunately there are no good YouTube videos of their concerts. Although there is a really old black-and-white one from before they got famous. They had about three albums before anyone knew who they were. I always love bands with two drummers. Charlie Daniels and the Allman Brothers to name a few.
I tell you who else had a good band early on, was Johnny Van Zandt. I saw him early on and he had a really unique band and sound. Very fresh sounding at the time a lot of bands were starting to all sound the same. Had a few albums and that was it. Of course now he sings for Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The Rutles! All you need is cash
Check out the first three albums. They have a little more of a country thing going on but I like their music. Got more polished after that.Molly Hatchet - First 3 albums for me. Then the decline.
38 Special was great in the 80s. Then they kind of disappeared; I never knew why. They are back in a "just for the money" way.
Edgar Winter was great as well. Still is, but clearly missing his brother.

On "Rock Line", he once referred to her as "a wailing bitch". Said in total admiration.(she was there with him)Check out the first three albums. They have a little more of a country thing going on but I like their music. Got more polished after that.
Fun facts:
Dale Krantz was 38 Special's female back up singer (featured on Money Honey). She became the lead singer for Rossington Collins Band and then married Gary Rossington. Detail they had a thing going on when I saw Rossington Collins Band the first time. Didn't surprise me they got married. When I got to meet Gary Rossington and shake his hand I don't think he let go of Dale's during that time.
Larry Junstrom, the bass player, was the original bass player for Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Yup just saw EW at the Arcada in St Charles IL with Uriah Heep!! Friggn AMAZING ShowMolly Hatchet - First 3 albums for me. Then the decline.

Don't forget the TabascoAnd Cheese and Onions.![]()
I have the same situation with my NR. It was sold to me as a "67", so I'll continue to call it that. Also, the 2013 NR's have 2012 serial #s. Gibby weirdness at its finest.Gibson weirdness....
says my 68 (s/n510049) could be a 65?

the Gibson Bass Book says NRs start in 66 but this site says possible?....hmmmm....
unfortunately the pots have too much solder to read their numbers..

Yeah, I think that started as Allen Collins affectionate name for her. And she was!On "Rock Line", he once referred to her as "a wailing bitch". Said in total admiration.(she was there with him)
