Hey Dude that’s an FSO...this is the Thunderbird Club..
Well, the paint for the Bach should be shipping out this week so I'll be able to spray color early next week. Had to order more white vinyl sealer due to the lack luster performance of the grain filler, but that's all square away now. There's still some small grain relief, most in the sides and ends with open-ended grain, might give it one last go to try to fill or just call it good.
Also just ordered parts to get back into pedal building, have to keep myself busy somehow.
Yup just saw EW at the Arcada in St Charles IL with Uriah Heep!! Friggn AMAZING Show
He had "Cocoa Brown" on Bass...
Fun Fact: "They Only Come Out At Night" was recorded with "Ronnie Montrose" on guitars!!
I'm counting on being at home New Years Eve, and probably longer than that.I'm beyond envious that you're managing to safely get together and make music.................I really miss it and have no idea when we'll even try a rehearsal, much less play a show. At this point Halloween looks like a doubtful date here in Washington.
I don't remember what I paid for my 2015. I got it used in either late 2015 or early 2016, but I don't remember that either. The guy I got it from was a 7ender player and didn't understand it at all. He had put a Hipshot x-tender on it, but it was otherwise completely unplayed looking. It isn't at all unplayed looking now.$1500 is a pretty typical asking price, some a bit higher some a bit lower. A purchase at $1200 or less is considered a good deal. Anything approaching $1000 or less is a steal.
My EB-2 is probably a '68. But looking it up says it could be anything from a '66 to a '72, depending on what website looks it up. It's the two pickup version with an intonable two point from the factory. So, it's almost certainly not a '66. It has clovers, so it's probably not later than a '69. When I got it, I was told it was a '65. I know for sure that's not correct. It's a mystery. And the wiring was redone to put in the Dimarzio One at some point, which means pot codes probably don't work for dating purposes. Not that I would want to futz with them through the f-holes anyway. Or know how to decode them. It's all Gibson weirdness, and it's party of the joy of owning an old Gibson.Gibson weirdness....
says my 68 (s/n510049) could be a 65?

the Gibson Bass Book says NRs start in 66 but this site says possible?....hmmmm....
unfortunately the pots have too much solder to read their numbers..

We need to do something about Geddy. He is buying up all the Thunderbirds that Scott doesn't already own. It's a problem.Hey Dude that’s an FSO...this is the Thunderbird Club..![]()
You want that to break off too? With the HS problems that 'Birds have, I'd like them to also put it somewhere else(control cavity?).
That picture made me laugh. I have seen Edgar play several times. Remember buying his album White Trash Recycled many years ago. Last time I saw him was at the Pantages Theater in Tacoma. Rick Derringer was there and few others. Edgar had a few gear issues, and was frustrated, but put on a great show in spite of it.Molly Hatchet - First 3 albums for me. Then the decline.
38 Special was great in the 80s. Then they kind of disappeared; I never knew why. They are back in a "just for the money" way.
Edgar Winter was great as well. Still is, but clearly missing his brother.

You know it might get nasty and want to see what happens. Like mud wrestling too?link please..![]()
Yes indeed. The more recent LS incarnation is from all over the country (including Ohio and Vermont), not just the south.
Forgot about them. Seen them a few times as well. And the Outlaws.
You are a very very BAD man!Over in Rumble Club, some guy was complaining about the sound he gets from running his J or P through his R100. I told him the problem isn't the amp, it's the basses-he needs a TBird. That oughta blow up the thread.![]()
yeah, and seems to get very lucky finding ones without HS breaks..We need to do something about Geddy. He is buying up all the Thunderbirds that Scott doesn't already own. It's a problem.
I think Geddy owns more Thunderbirds than any member here.Hey Dude that’s an FSO...this is the Thunderbird Club..![]()
