Thunderbird Club

Where was this this guy when I was dating? I dated an abnormally high number of redheads and married one. I'm sure that says something about me.

Think I'll show this to my wife and since women like to have conversations it would be a great conversation starter to ask her to plot herself on this chart. I'll check back let you know how it goes. Maybe…
I'm sure that will go well. Be sure to post video of that...

My first marriage went 5 years as well. I could've written your post with the exceptions that I'm at 24 years on my second marriage and while I've had my share of new cars, probably 25 in my 30+ year career at GM, my hobbies have been far less expensive than collecting Porsches, boutique basses and every bass in-between. ;)

R/C Model airplanes, mountain biking and cycling in general, basses. Nothing too extravagant.
R/C model airplanes rule!

Here's one for you guys and gals. I was showing my basses to my girlfriend last night - she's an archaeologist and anthropologist - and she took exception to the name "Thunderbird" and it's logo. Resulted in a mild argument. So I submit to the group - Thunderbird: Cultural Appropriation or Harmless Tribute?

Jeez! Does everything hafta be politically correct? And how does she feel about the car(OK, no longer made)or the USAF aerobatic team? And is there also a problem with "Blue Angels"? One advantage of being 75 is that I no longer give a ratzass about that kinda [stuff].

Pretty wild stuff, right? The argument was me accusing her of being too PC and sensitive.

<clears throat>

[take grain of salt] [sarcasm]

As someone born in England, still a British citizen, I am OFFENDED. All you non-english people speak English. You have appropriated my language and culture! I demand that you immediately cease and desist!! Develop your own damned language!!!

And stop eating Spam, Baked Beans, Cornish Pasties, and Fish and Chips!!!! More cultural appropriation!!!!!

Sincerely,

Sir Big-Ben Lift Lorry

Dump her. Sorry.

Agree (as corrected). Life is to short; you can do better.

In case it isn't clear from the above. Thunderbird is a piece of American iconography. Cars, basses, military units, business schools... It is widespread throughout the SW USA. In my mind, it is tribute, not usurping.

I reached that point at age 27. I no longer GAF what people think. I hate people; although there are a number of individuals of whom I am quite fond.
