Yikes is right! :nailbiting:
But such a beautiful picture :)

Last time, I was so close to it in Rancho Cordova...while trying to load gasoline into the truck.
It got so close, was causing interference in the intercom system, and they almost shut down the loading facility.
Would've been worse than what it was if it had hit those huge storage tanks :(

I think I am about 60% sure I might be coming into a true 1976 Natural bird for a pretty good price. Let's just say it's less than the ones on Reverb(this is not listed on Reverb).
I have talked to the guy twice now, he is asking $4200 but indicated he would take less. I will post pictures in the event it happens. Keep your fingers crossed.

Actually I was mostly continuing the classic "play the accordion - go to jail" axiom. But truthfully - I heard an Italian accordianist play with Al De Meola in a very international line-up band a number of years ago who blew me away. (deep "world" jazz) I mean, I grew up in a Polish/Czech household so accordion was spoken there (Lawrence Welk was mainstay TV) and I grew up with two friends who were brothers, one played drums and the other keys/accordion. Amazing players - they linked instinctually as musicians. But I still think most accordionist should heed the law...
I know some drummer/accordion brothers that play in a polka band. The accordion player is really good and he’s also a decent sound guy.

Right on - good luck!

Yikes! We had that last weekend and a lot of forest fires started in the desert country to the East of us.
Sounds like you folks are getting hit pretty badly with fires again.

It's a yearly reoccurring event - just differs how the fires are started...

Thunderbirds did the fly over.....Class act:thumbsup:
Always love to see Thunderbirds! They’re special to me having grown up at Vandenberg, although their appearances were rare during the Vietnam war.

I raced a stage race (bicycles) at Vandenberg AFB years ago - won the criterium (around a local park) in my division! Only time I've been there but it was memorable.

You mean the law that they must learn "Lady of Spain"?

You sir are too kind. I humbly consider myself nothing but a multi-instrumentalist hack. A loner that can record bass parts in 1 or 2 takes, but guitar and drums take quite a bit of work. Started playing drums in 2014, guitar in 2016. I wait to record them when I can get 2 decent takes, sometimes taking weeks/months.

The marvel of modern recording, both audio and video make it look effortless when the final product is done.

I just love writing, playing, recording, making music and videos, all for the fun of seeing/hearing that final product.

Making a quick video with the newly acquired TBirds was quite fun and quick, seemingly touching a nerve somewhere in youtube land.

subscibed to your YouTube channel. Will have a look tonight or tomorrow night

I’m going to use that line!
I find with some drummers, we lock together automatically and continued playing just gets sweeter as we learn anticipate the accents. Other drummers require more conscious effort on my part (and probably theirs) even though they might be accomplished musicians.
Truth!
