Thunderbird Club

Said Challenger disaster happened on my 16th birthday I was watching it at a snack shop across the street from my high school. Needless to say my birthday was crap after seeing it.....
I came home from school early, to my grandparents house, to watch it on their big (for '86  ) TV. About a month after my 14th. :( :crying:

I read a transcript of a lawyer questioning a witness. The lawyer asked if the witness had any issues, and the witness said he had dyslexia. The lawyer asked if the witness had corrective lenses for that.

I'm not dyslexic so far as anybody knows, but left and right are mysterious ideas.

my daughter’s school friend had special glasses with different coloured lenses for dyslexia.

But I thought that was letters in words (and numbers?) being jumbled?

Never heard that it was about not telling left from right ???

Reminds me of this

Well, I went out, with the best of intentions, to pick up a package with some new knobs (probably going on the Epi Pro V) from my mail drop, and then on to the Home Dee-pot for more latches to finish what I started on the Epiphone case...

But then, I lost focus. Started looking around. "shopping". :jawdrop:

Ended up with this, not because I needed it, because I've got enough of those screwdriver bit things that I could lose half & still have too many :rollno: , but because it was $1 cheaper to get than just the fancy magnetic bits by themselves (which I also don't need...) :banghead:

Then, I just went completely off the rails, and bought some stuff for me to kill in short order :(

But at least they'll look pretty next to Thunderbirds until they die...

Are the pickups the same distance from the strings? (Tho I can believe the pickups might have changed over time.)
Pickups are further away, due to overly (imo) high action. It'll all get sorted tonight, and I can get a better comparison. Too bad I don't have another set of Roto 77s to put on to make it as similar as possible.

In the 1960's I was a kid living in the Granada Hills area while my dad worked at Rocketdyne in Canoga Park on the Atlas project, that was during the pre Rockwell years. I still remember going to what we called Rocketdyne park where they had a two story playground type rocket you could climb up in. In the late 1960's Dad went on to work for IBM in Boulder Colorado. I don't think the the park or playground rocket exist anymore, but if you were a kid in that area at that time you might remember it.

I think this might be the one...

Now somewhere around Santa Susana I think.
Bloody hell! I used to play on almost the exact same rocket at the beachside park at Brighton-Le-Sands as a young’un

the park is across the bay from the airport runway... I even took my kids there to have fish n chips and watch the planes taking off

It gave me a lot of choices, guitar, harp, piano, sax among others including accordion! No bass though. Oh well, Violin was on the list so there’s that.
Bwahahahaha! I ***suck*** at accordion!
wow, it said drums for me..

Unfortunately it never gives Bass as an answer. But for the purposes of this quiz I'd consider drums close enough. Those are the two major instruments in the rhythm section. FWIW - I scored Drums as well.

They don’t make lawyers like they used to.

Seriously though, there was a school of optometrists who pushed certain tints as a help for dyslexia, BMM being one such tint. It’s hogwash, but some believe it.

hers were red and blue I think. Like 3D glasses at the Cinema. AFAIK they worked for her.

And with that, I’m pouring another Jameson’s. Slainte!
Slainte ! I may dig out a Tullamore this evening :)

And now for the real test, are you really meant to be in the rhythm section...
What Musical Instrument Should You Play?

Fun little short quiz.
Interesting. Apparently drums are my thing. Makes sense with bass not being an option that I noticed. I would like drums, but don't think I could get each hand and feet doing different things very well and might sound......like (some) Jazz maybe!
I'm not sure I'm aggressive. I'm pretty easy going, unless pressed hard by a fool. Maybe it's a covid thing!
Your dominant personality characteristic: your aggression
Your secondary personality characteristic: your precision
