Thunderbird Club

But oh, I do!

@TBird1958, I'd love to dress like you. I said long ago that I would need "six months on the elliptical first", but now it would take a year. I'm going backward.

I'll wear my "little black" EMBASSY PRO for now. :)

Trust me, I'm almost 62 and I'm working out 4 x a week just to build some stamina and begin to be in reasonable shape, not easy, but I'm feeling much better than I did a year ago. Wish I had a show to play!

Since people were struggling with the translation a bit I went to the website and grabbed a random paragraph for translation. To be honest my Czech is a bit rusty, but from what I can gather BaCH must be a Pharmaceutical company founded by bass players. Here's the paragraph followed by the rough translation...

To vše v několika barevných odstínech a strukturách koženky.

Dubious ointments won't heal nasty, crusty and puss filled heads, naturally.
V Royce 2005 Cream is exactly the very best prescription BaCH provides to date.
Take religiously nightly with kiwi fruit - you'll feel jazzy, cool and happy, cool like a Rickenbacker, happy like a bass player.
To feel new and refreshed order a shipment today.
Just placed an order! Will report back after initial application on level of crustiness and puss.....

A few years ago, there was a large population of bunnies in the area around our local city hall. Someone had the bright idea to capture them, neuter the males, and relocate the to a park by the river. This was a great...for the eagles, owls, hawks and coyotes.
Good intentions - Wisdom = Another or bigger problem.

Oh, happy to hear that. My age almost the same.

Was fanatically absorbed in table tennis and was using the elliptical (both for over 5 years?) right up until I became fanatically absorbed in bass and pulled my tube amp hobby out of the attic. That was just a year and a half ago and I was pretty fit. Maybe get it back in a year, but as you said it gets harder. Maybe two years. :-)

It would take being fanatically absorbed in physical fitness. Don't want to lose my bass though. :-)

I'm kinda in the same boat - managed to stop the backward slide, but with most things still shut down here in CA, I've too much time for snacking, not enough opportunity for exercising :(

A good elliptical was one of my better $600 investments. Low impact on the feet.
Crank up the resistance, good for leg muscles, even calves.

EDIT: With the resistance maxed the legs get tired and the arms inevitably have to work hard to help the legs, automatically. This creates a torque around the middle that the core has to oppose. Good stuff.

I'm beginning to plot the next Thunderbird project.
The bolt-on won't be quite as flamboyant as the Flamingo, but it could be a brighter color. Orange perhaps? Similar to this except more orange and less red:

You're both probably in better overall health than me, I haven't really exercised since high school, and even then I was interrupted by learning how to smoke, operate a bong and apply various narcotics......ahhh ......the '70s.

I have a long way to go.

I am in the same boat with trying to improve my health and lose weight when I have never been good about exercising. Also had some....chemical interruptions of my own along the way. Ahhh the 80's :wacky:

Yeah, the '70s and the '80s had some fuzzy occurrences. For whatever reason, I benefit from being slightly hyper. There has never been too long a stretch when I was not doing physical labor, playing some generally self destructive high intensity sport, or something. Taking up drumming five or six years ago was probably 40 years later than it really should have happened.

Was someone just mentioning adding a Dimarzio to the neck position of an Epi? Found this pic from an old Tbird club thread.

That is exactly what will eventually happen to the bolt-on. Except it will be a different color when it is done.
