Happy Birthday @TBird1958 ! :)

With all the Cheap Trick you guys have been posting lately, I decided to listen to some of their stuff - only ever heard what came on the radio.
Decided I needed to work on learning this:

Mandocello is officially the first thing I played/learned on the GBP :jawdrop:

Probably my favorite CT song.

Now you're rockin!

my Goth is from China and has the wide neck
That's really odd. Mine is about 3 years old, I wonder if they changed up to a narrow neck at some point. Or maybe I have a fluke.

I've discovered something interesting about my "new" bridge inserts. I suspect they are Gibson, not Epiphone; the splines are different, and the shoulder is different. Can any of you confirm this?

The one with the larger flange is the Eppi I believe.

Edit: looks like you've got it sorted all out and even beefed up the spline grip with some added wood. She looks nearly finished. Excellent!

Close! Blood and Roses by The Smithereens........If you've never listened to them, you're missing a great band. Their bassist is simply perfect, serves the song in the best creative, yet soldierly way.

I remember the first time I heard that (also the first time I heard them). I was home from college for the summer. My parents had moved to a little town in eastern Colorado, and I had driven with my dad (a Methodist minister) to Colorado Springs. He was visiting a church member in the hospital. I was sitting in the car listening to the radio waiting for him, and that bass line started. Wow! I was an instant fan! “Wall Of Sleep” might be my favorite, just because it’s about a bass-playing girl and name drops both Bill Wyman and Jean Shrimpton. They had so many great songs, and Mike Mesaros always had a killer tone and great lines.
