Thunderbird Club

Anyone familiar with these?
I don’t have one, but that ‘13 EB has the same “tone tapped” Dicola humbuckers as the ‘15 Tbird. I played one in the store when they came out and remember liking it. It should be controlled with push/pull vol pots. Versatile tone monster. They’ve been undervalued on the used market, but recent prices have gone up; there’s a 4 string on Reverb for $750 and $75 shipping. A lot of bass for the money. JMO, but I think they’re nice basses.
Edit: I don’t remember the five string, but I would think there aren’t a whole lot of those out there.

Happy Thunderbird Thursday!
Here’s another of the many pics Mike took of the shortie as he was packing it for the journey.

I have the 2013 EB5 and really enjoy it. Same pups and basically the same controls as my 2015 TBird, but honestly I think the EB sounds and plays better. Very versatile voicing on this beast and the low B is exceptionally nice. I still like most of my Thunderbirds a bit more, but when you need that Fender look and Gibson sound this is the bass. I think I paid about $500 for my used one several years ago. Because it's Thunderbird Thursday here's a pic of the EB along side my Anniversary Bird and a couple of SG Supremes...

I think Gibson only made this model EB for a couple of years so not a ton of 5 strings out there. If you can find a 5 string in mint condition for around $800 give or take a hundred its a solid buy.

Well there you have it! I forgot you had that, GB.
