Thunderbird Club

I hope so!
It's my birthday today, the wife wanted to get me another Thunderbird (used one from reverb that I've been looking at) but I told her I'd take a rain check until Gibby/Eppi release their new offerings in the spring. I'm really hoping they launch something exciting, otherwise I might snag a JC Gold top.

Happy Birthday to GBassNorth AND @Miles_ONeal!!!!

So, how does everyone connect their THUNDERBIRD to whatever is next in the chain (board, amp, DI, whatever)? I've tried a few cables, and so far the only one I really liked was one I made. Unfortunately I'm not sure what specific cable I based it on, as it's a few decades old.
If I get cables, I want some that just lay wherever I haul them and don't fight me, grab, tangle, etc. I'm open to a good wireless, but it would have to be rechargeable and preferably the receiver would run off standard 9V power. I'd as soon avoid USB if possible.

I have used this for a couple of years and been very happy.

I've used cables made by Bayou Audio Cables for years. Butch is or was a TB member. I use several of his longer cables for instrument to first box and for my wife's keyboard. He made all my patch cables as well. Never had a moments trouble from any of them. He made several with my specs. But now I do like having a kill button on the cable and would order those now. For home use, I'll use what's handy, but for rehearsal or live Bayou Cables!

Happy Birthday! I hope you enjoy many more in good health! Mine was four days ago--suggesting 1) You should move back to Ky and we can celebrate yearly; 2) I'm pretty sure your wife would love to buy your friend from Ky who nearly shares a birthday an old used Thunderbird. Well, likely not, but it was worth a try! Your wife sounds like mine. Yet another reason to move back!
Happy belated!

Technically today's my birthday and our anniversary, but as Sharon has a cold, we'll celebrate later.

Happy Birthday! :)

I use one of these, been very happy with it in my small space:

It's visible in some of the pictures I've posted...

I've been using Whirlwind cables for ages. Only one ever failed on me, promptly replaced by the company. They're in upstate NY.
