Thunderbird Club

Thanks, me too! He got a special invitation from the Army. Was in Korea for two years. Awful heat and brutal cold. He said it pretty much looked like what you saw on M.A.S.H.

One funny story. On the two week Pacific cruise over they asked the name of every person who would then be called upon to to KP and other duties no one wanted. He said he name was Edmund Vance. (Which was actually a man he knew from the country.) Ever so often he would hear that named called, with greater irritation. But avoided the awful jobs. On the way back he knew they had real food and real milk aboard ship. So he volunteered for KP duty once aboard the yacht headed home and was able to drink all the milk and eat just about all the deserts he wanted.

I love it. working the system!

Dad was in the AF. Shot down over NK. Senior prisoner in his POW camp. His healthy weight was 175-185, and he was 100 pounds when he came home. But he came home, recovered, got married, and had kids, and here I am. He's 92 and still kicking!

My wife and kids would hdo the same. I like your wife and son!
The case is nice....

I hope so!
It's my birthday today, the wife wanted to get me another Thunderbird (used one from reverb that I've been looking at) but I told her I'd take a rain check until Gibby/Eppi release their new offerings in the spring. I'm really hoping they launch something exciting, otherwise I might snag a JC Gold top.

Happy birthday, sir! May your year be awesome.

Ampeg SVT Micro VR Stack vs. Fender Rumble 200?

I currently have a Fender Rumble 200 (and a Rumble 500) and they both sound great w/ my Epi T-Bird VP.

I've read alot about the magic between Ampegs and T-Birds, so been wondering if anybody has the Ampeg SVT Micro VR stack and can share some insight?
I love my Ampegs and Thunderbirds. The 2x10 is a nice cab. I personally never cared for my fender rumble.

Happy Birthday! I hope you enjoy many more in good health! Mine was four days ago--suggesting 1) You should move back to Ky and we can celebrate yearly; 2) I'm pretty sure your wife would love to buy your friend from Ky who nearly shares a birthday an old used Thunderbird. Well, likely not, but it was worth a try! Your wife sounds like mine. Yet another reason to move back!

Glad your dad made it back. Mine lost weight and didn't experience what your dad did. Gained 22 lbs on the way back home!

My dad said they would count the planes that flew past them across the line and later would count again. Often there were fewer going back.

And a very happy (belated) birthday to you too!

Well, Happy Birthday my friend!

Happy birthday @GBassNorth, I'm glad you're with us. :)
Considering the kind of year 2020 has been, I'm just glad to be alive and healthy.

Happy Belated birthday to you!
LOL - I'll ask the wife if she picked out a gift for you yet. If you keep inviting me back to KY I might just take you up on it, got a spare bedroom?
Happy Birthday to you both!
