Thunderbird Club

I used my MB200 yesterday, and that got me thinking I should run my old Peavey - keep the juices flowing as they say. First new amp I ever bought. I played a lot of gigs over the years with this Centurian and an Acoustic 2x15 cab curiously named the 106.

Good question. Certainly won't affect playability. I need to raise the pickups. Maybe change out the pots since they're now backwards. Also weird that the order of tuners is reversed. I instinctively started turning the G when I meant to turn the E.

The bass weighs 8 lbs. exactly.

I do the same thing when I tune my Epi NR. Almost every time.

It's a Christmas miracle! The RNR has finally come home. Still waiting for the pickguard, but here you go.

It's making my brain hurt trying to figure out what's going on here. Seriously it's very cool, how about some info?

I'm guessing he took a 2012 NR and converted it to a lefty by moving the controls to the opposite side of the body and installing a reverse strung nut. That, a Hipshot bridge and refin and it looks pretty cool.
Would love to see this with a clear pickguard like Chucky has on his NR.
Not sure how he has it wired with only two pots.

George is right. It's a 2013 NR that I had converted to left-handed. I had a truss rod cover made with the Gibson logo properly oriented, but it won't go on until I'm done getting everything sorted out for my tastes. Pickguard will hopefully be here, with the Thunderbird logo also properly oriented.

This all started when I flipped a photo of a NR upside down and thought it looked really cool. So I bought a used NR and brought it right to a luthier. Same year as my Reverse, so they're like fraternal twins.

No tone right? Always liked that look (like Peterson playing a lefty NR righty) but you now have a REALLY rare bird...is the PG gonna be more akin to an NR PG or a Reverse PG? from the looks of it, the original PG holes were filled in the refin? kinda hard to tell from the pic. nice going dude:thumbsup:

Coolest set of lefty Tbirds on the planet!
