Thunderbird Club

There’s a couple of us here with Eagles. This one is mine:
BCRich Eagle Rescue
Mine's technically a Bodine, but close enough. And it's all mahogany.

Is it some sort of illusion or is the VP bigger than your '64? Nice colour on that P-bass

And the wintery pic you just posted is beautiful! It brings back memories of how the crisp cold air feels when it looks like that - and so quiet - love it!
No, I think it is. Not proportionally bigger everywhere, just in some ways it seems. I've never taken the time to measure them. As you know, the '60s versions were thin, and it also seems a tad thicker.

Thanks, I like it as well. It was a refin from a long time ago but is well worn now. It is a '64 that had '67 electronics when I got it from Alabama's bass player. Never sounded right so I changed it to vintage pots and Kleins PUs. Sounds wonderful now with Pyramid Golds. I don't prefer that era's wide but flat neck, but it does play great.

Thank you. I don't like the cold, but if everything is going to be dead and brown the snow really brightens thing up, especially here were it's cloudy a lot. Certainly more than I like.

Oh boy, that Precision's a smoke show. What year is it? Is it an original or AVRI?

Thanks man! Copied from another post I did: It was a refin from a long time ago but is well worn now. It is a '64 that had '67 electronics when I got it from Alabama's bass player. The neck is actually late '63 and the body early '64. Never sounded right so I changed it to vintage pots and Klein's PUs. (What I sold the old PUs and posts for paid for the new guts!) Sounds wonderful now with Pyramid Golds. The PG has turned that cool light greenish color. I don't prefer that era's wide but flat neck, but it does play great. It's nice and light and a joy to play. But it ain't no Thunderbird!
