Did someone say an occasional P bass is welcome? I guess it's Fender Friday then, here's my 1968 treasure...

Beautiful Precision you have there!

My favorite PBass
1958 - Awful pic. The body has been refinished (thus I could afford it!) and looks overly white here.

Since we're not limiting to just P basses, here's most of my Fender Flock...

There were a few others in storage so not in the picture.
Interesting thing is, I haven't bought a Fender product since I bought my first Gibson back about 6 years ago.
Since I started playing my '64 more and getting other's I was wasn't worried about taking out as the '64, I haven't even looked at or considered Fender. I like what have but could live without all but my Thunderbirds.

Nice build!
Now tell me about the car. Hard to tell from the photo but from what little I can see of the mirror and grill it looks like a mid 60's Karmann Ghia.
It’s an early 71 convertible. It was a complete basket case I bought from an old Eastern European dude. It came with a lot of parts. Replacement body panels, all the pieces to build a nice 1776 including a set of 36mm “baby dellortos”.
I got a mig welder and replaced a lot of sheet metal. My uncle helped me fabricate the inner rockers, which was really cool.

Then life happened, the project stalled for other priorities numerous times...
I got it on the road in the early 2000’s, but I got stuck on the dyno at the Aircare station! It was way too friggin low. And it failed on noxious emissions of some sorto_O

Did I mention the suicide doors? I was hanging around with too many hot rod types for a while there.
It’s dusty cause I keep doing woodworking projects!

Actually, that's really cool. I have none of the skill, time, or patience to do that.
