Thunderbird Club

Nah. With the 4x10 it is ridiculously loud. The replacement cab works perfectly. 800 watts into 4 Ohms. I’ll figure out the SPL eventually. It’s more than I could ever possibly need. And the Thunderbirds love it.
Man oh man do I really want to hear that rig. Why do you have to live so doggone far away?

If this car discussion keeps going on, this thread will probably get shut down again.

The hell it will :bassist:
Throwin' all I got (and had).

(not really a car guy, but the discussion is fun to read:-))

Just got a Trim-Pot version Tone Pump preamp in to install in my Spector Bird. Should help that little thing out to replace the TP Jr.. And Convert to 18 volts, if I can fit two nine volt batteries in there. And got a new set of strings to install. Just need to get around to it.

Should make that little baby a lot of fun.

!!!News Flash!!!
Seismologists in Southern California are baffled by an odd new earthquake swarm in the Greater Los Angeles area. Experts agree it seems to have a bizarre 4/4 timing and lasts for several minutes at a time. Home owners in one neighborhood claim the rumbler is rearranging everything in their houses that isn't nailed down. Witnesses said the shaking started shortly after a UPS truck left the area.

In a possibly related incident, Southern California Edison is looking into strange massive power draws seemingly coming from a single home that has a Phellam Blue mail box out front with a Thunderbird logo and the initials MCF. Rewards are being offered for any information leading to the capture of any individual damaging the integrity of the SoCal power grid.

You're gonna love it, quite an improvement from the jr. I have one of the old non trim tone pumps in my Euro and it's a killer on gain but sounds so sweet I've been hesitant to flip it for the newer trim pot pump that I have in my spare parts bin. I'm sure the trim pot model sounds every bit as good if not better than mine.

I found the TP Jr a little dull and not what I expect a Spector to sound like. The Trim-Pot version will be a nice upgrade. I may need to pick up another of these 4X some day soon.
