OMG.....is that tort?...
Answering my own question - I scanned their wiki page and it appears they had a long history of "fallings out".
One example from wiki...
"In 1990, Simon and Garfunkel were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Garfunkel thanked Simon, calling him "the person who most enriched my life by putting those songs through me"; Simon responded, "Arthur and I agree about almost nothing. But it's true, I have enriched his life quite a bit." After performing three songs, the duo left without speaking."
Looks like an ongoing love/hate relationship. A shame really, because they did such great work together.
So... did you send them the material and they cut it and sent back the remnants?
) use it to make a cover for the electrics. No, their material, I just had them send an extra bit, so I can (hopefully) use it to make a cover for the electrics.
They sent a pattern tracing for the pickguard & the trc prior to, so I could check the fitment
The trc isn't the same as the one on the VP, which I think is the same as what the CP had originally. But, it (the pattern) fit, lining up with one of the two top? screw holes the headstock has....

always curious about that look on either white or ebony.Color 224: Red Magma 4-ply .095

If the band(players)is good, it's a blast. I've played bass behind 4-5 big bands of varying ability. Usually a lotta fun. The drummer in these two videos is outstanding, easy to work with(always "there"), and a great guy.I recall seeing that now. Very cool how you made a fake Thunderbird HS to fit on a Fender so you could play Big Band--because we all know.....
I like Big Band, but have never got to see anyone live. Maybe one day.
Boomer nostalgia I know - but his delivery comes off as pretty authentic to me. Same issues today but no-ones bringing it to the people like bands did then.
live in SF circa '75
another environmentally topical song
Preliminary results are favorable
As expected, the p/g holes don't line up perfectly, but I've always planned on making holes to fit the pickguard, so not an issue.
Loving the look so far.....

I agree. You just worded it more politely than reality would dictate it seems.I have always had the feeling that Paul Simon was a smug, humorless person. Not sure why, but nothing I have seen/heard/read over the years has changed my mind.
I know. "Stunning" comes to mind.always curious about that look on either white or ebony.
Amen!Did someone mention boomer nostalgia? That's pretty much my main address. We were talking about contemporary music at rehersal, the band members range 40-62. I can't personally listen to modern music its all autotune and beats per minute, no push and pull, give and take. Even live performances are barley live anymore. I'm talking in generalizations of course but I'll take a performance with passion and botched harmonies anyday.

Quite nice! Love the look on the white bass. Really goes nicely with the knobs. Not sure if I'd like it as much on a red bass.Preliminary results are favorable

I'm sure it takes two to tangle, but after reading some of the stuff about Simon on the net I'm inclined to agree with you. Smug is being generous. A perpetual horses hind end with a Napoleonic complex might be more accurate.I agree. You just worded it more politely than reality would dictate it seems.
Fun cars! I've had a 1971 (LS6 454 big block auto) in red and a Laguna Grey 1974 350/350 4speed. Both were great cars with beautiful lines. I've always considered the third gen to be the sexiest looking Corvettes (at least until the current mid engine vette came out with its Lambo look).
