The sound of L.A. 1980.
Dude! So happy for you.Well, It's not even Thursday here and I had the best week of my life so far. (I'm sorry for going off topic here but bear with me.)
For years I always wanted a Fiesta Red Stratocaster but they are difficult to obtain, certainly with the lockdown going on. But one chance glance at Facebook, gave me to opportunity to finally get myself one.

But the day before I made the score on that instrument, my personal life made a turn for the far better.
In 1994, a girl came into my class at my senior year of high school.

We bonded, fell in love and had very romantic but alas very brief relationship because of us both attending different colleges after we graduated and back then there was no cell phones, no MySpace, no Facebook. She back then broke it off because it being a too heavy load. I last saw her in person in 1996 when we ran into each other. But in general we completely disappeared from each other's lives.
In the years that followed, I had some flings here and there, a couple of girlfriends, but none of it was just so REAL as it was with her.
Now this Monday something amazing happened. She showed up at my house, turns out that she undergoes physical therapy in a nearby town to where I live and wondered if the address I gave her back then was still valid. I was completely blown away when I saw her 25 years after our final face-to-face encounter. And straight away, all the old feelings were back, as it was just a week since we last saw each other. One remark of hers was "Why did we ever split up?"
I told her back then that I could see us be married someday, but gave up on that dream after we lost sight of each other. The funny thing is that over the years people had been telling me "She'll return!" and "Trust me, you will see her again." and all that time I went "Yeah, sure, we'll see.."
And there she is.
All of a sudden that vision of me having her as my wife doesn't seem to be so farfetched anymore.
I'm shedding tears from being so happy.
Compared to a Ric bridge, the 3 point is awesome! The three point is a perfectly functional bridge. Sure it's not as sleek as the Hipshot or as elaborate as the Babicz or as vintage looking as the VP two piece, but it's a quick and easy bridge to set up and comes free with most Epiphone and Gibson basses. My preference of the bunch is the VP two piece but I'm not complaining about any of my three points.
Safety first! Are those load-bearing walls up to code?
I have actually had almost all of those albums, unfortumately not anymore. I stupidly sold my about 2.000 LP:s vinyls collection some years ago... But at least I have spotifyWith all this talk about music of the past, here's something to ponder...
As of last year, these albums were a half century old:

I was a Billy Zoom fan and saw him a lot in clubs around SoCal doing his hard edged rockabilly thing. When he formed X, it was amazing.Loved X. Jefferson Airplunk right here.

I had a lot of those albums. Unlike yours, my collection was tested by fire and had very few survivors. Basically the five or six albums that were still in my exwifes hand that I managed to grab after she had already thrown the rest (along with photo albums, clothing, cameras, car keys, you name it) in a bonfire in the backyard. I shudder to think what she would have done to a guitar collection if I had one back then.I have mine. Sans covers. Water heater sprung a leak, soaked 'em all. They don't dry out worth. At least the THUNDERBIRD wasn't in that closet.
Side note: Why is it called a "hot water heater"? If the water's hot, why heat it?
