VWell, truth be told, there is but one string manufactured, this post in another thread explains it.
One string to rule them all
One string to find them
One string to bring them all
And in the dancing bind them.

Yeah, I have nothing against the 3-point. I went to the Hipshot mostly because of the adjustable string spacing.
Could be right, possibly metric, or using watermelons as some kind of unit of measure![]()
I did. It is a few pages back*

Not touché! He provided no corrections. But it is a great bass.
It's pretty seedy. The watermelon to metric conversion is always a bit squishy.

Hipshot purely for functionality (longer saddle to string holder length, adjustability). But I do like the looks.
)So which room is the bass room?My wife has been busy building a house. I’ve helped out with a few parts.

Lol - while the wife isn't looking you should sneak about a half dozen miniature guitars and basses into the house.
@PillO has some worthy competition on here. You can't Touché this.

I thought it was the one with the white tiles, for some natural reverb, angled ceiling corners to control the reflections...
Are those load-bearing walls up to code?My wife has been busy building a house. I’ve helped out with a few parts.

Until the need for standardization overtakes all else and you put a Hipshot on everything regardless. Or is that just me?I do like the looks of the Hipshot in some applications; I also like the looks of the FCH-3 (the other Babicz models, not quite as much).
I picked the Babicz over the Hipshot for my CP primarily due to the easier/less ocd straining adjustability.
If they made a drop-in replacement for the VP, it'd be at the top of my list of things to order.
But, I'll probably not replace another 3-point, unless it's broken, or I want a different (unavailable, i. e., not black or chrome) color.
(I hereby reserve the right to change my mind/opinion/etc., at any point in the future, possibly retroactively, if I so choose)

I am not some unidimensional cartoon character who loves nothing but watermelons! Not competition, we're in Cahoots together.
I knew we shouldna taken dat left toin at Albakoikee...
Thanks Chuck. It's a passive '99 factory Hot Rod. They only made them from mid '99 to about Jan or so in '01. The PUs are fantastic and not typical Fender stock. Poles are beveled like those on the Geddy Lee's. The bridge is over-wound to make it a little more equal. The finish is called Sunset Orange and and was an upgrade over the painted versions. Always makes me think of CA when I look at it. The neck is one of the best I've ever played. The finish is like silk on it. I can't imagine a Custom Shop being any better in terms of quality. It's one I'd never consider selling.Gorgeous....year/model? passive? love that finish contrast with the maple fb....![]()

You can't be moderate in standardization. If there is an exception, then the standard is meaningless.Hmmm..."everything in moderation, including moderation" - and standardization...![]()
