Thunderbird Club

This bass was Cliff Williams (of ACDC), note the PG shape.
This pic of Leon seems to be from around 1975/6. Pre plane crash and injuries to his arm.

With what seems a Fenderbird.

Yeah, that looks like the band c. 74-75, but with only two guitar players it has to be 75 to early 76 (I think that's when Steve Gaines joined). And Leon did have a Fenderbird. IIRC.

That is the other '63 then.

As you know I owned one of the (apparently) few '63 T-bird II's made. (that was stollen in KC/MO in '78) I've read in a few places that there was only a few made and have also seen one owned by someone on the T-bird fb page. So here's yet another one. I do not think there has been a definitive statement/proof of how many were actually made/sold to date. I'm ok accepting/believing there weren't many made that first year, but until I see 100% Gibson records proof that only 3 (or whatever) were produced/sold in 1963, I remain skeptical. To reinforce my skepticism.., how did one (of only 3) end up in a pawn shop in Omaha Nebraska in 1974? Seems more than a little unlikely to me. Not that it was a '63, because it was - but that something that rare would end up in the center of the country in a relatively small town/city. (instead of LA or NYC?) I just don't buy it as another '63 turns up.

If it’s the same SK factory that builds reverends, they should be fine. But a bit pricy IMO.

I didn't know they made Reverends in Saskatchewan. Dingwalls and Fury basses, yes, but Reverends too — who knew? You did, I guess.

I may have to get a Reverend after all... after I get a Dingwall and or Fury.

3801 is back!

Aussie/British steam looks 'weird' to us 'mericans, mostly because the "plumbing" is concealed, whereas most American steam engines have their 'guts' hanging out on full display. That said, 3801 is way cool!
