Thunderbird Club

No idea, but they're supposed to be very good. Two issues for me: I'm not interested in a Fender-like bass and they don't do left-handed.
sooo.....I guess.....outta the question?.....

This bass was Cliff Williams (of ACDC), note the PG shape.
OK, it was one of the photos listed as L.W. when I googled him. I wouldn't know Cliff Williams if he bit me in the fazaza. If someone did bite my fazaza, I'd wanna who it was.
EDIT: We'll try this one:

And "it needs a bridge cover".

Your photo is of Leon, but at some point Cliff owned that bass - they may have traded it.

With all the "discourse" I see about people's feelings on the shift from Rosewood to Pau Ferro & Indian Laurel, it's pretty interesting to see how similar the fretboards are between the White VP and '76 Bird. Personally I like the graining in the Indian Laurel I've seen, as long as it's well oiled I think it looks very pretty. Not quite the traditional dark of ebony, but I tend to like Rosewood boards with a bit more striation, which usually shows up on slightly lighter boards.

Also guess I should add I just paid to have an Epi VP in white shipped out. Saw it in classifieds, and since Sweetwater said they don't have any additional coming in, figured I might as well snag one!
I think you’ll like it. Congrats!
