I recorded four tracks for Jason Lane Band around Xmas. He sent me scratch tracks with Paul Mackisoc’s freshly recorded drum tracks. Paul’s one of those guys I don’t have to think about when we play. (We play reggae/funk/dub/pop in a different band)

And then Jason asked if I would do a video shoot last month, so I brought my Tbird down to a nice studio in one of the sketchiest places in Vancouver:

And this one's for a lotta videos: Why not something(wireless transmitter, cable to nowhere, whatever)plugged in to the axes?

Prolly most ppl don't notice. Bass/guitar slingers do. No BFD. I can find a nit to pick in almost anything. Way too much time on my(retired)hands.

Thanks Miles! Paul is on the recording, but that’s a guy named Rob Cooper in the video. I think Rob has committed to do some shows.

Nice grind! Blues done right. The playing, singing, lyrics and camera work all work together perfectly. Very timely song considering everything folks are going through with all this COVID mess and your mask will forever date this song to this era. Well done!

Out of curiosity, does anyone with one of the Epi VPs know if they use metric or imperial potentiometers? Want some black knobs and pointers for the new bass on its way. I assume metric but figure I'd ask first.

Not 100% sure about the VP, but all the other Epiphones I have are metric
