Well, if you insist here's some more pictures. The only thing not original are the strap locks. They were on it when I got it shipped from Seattle. I've plugged it in a couple of times and that's it. It's been hidden away. In full disclosure, the little marks on the neck aren't dings. I could wipe them off, but I didn't know what to use so as not to mark the paint. Also, the whitish on the opti grab is a wax or something from factory. It wipes off, but I thought it would show how little this has even been handled. Thanks again for the wishes and the positive vibes. I still have my player tbirds so I'm not leaving the club.....EVER!

DAMMIT!

Sorry I can't pick that up from you :sorry:

The switch is a parallel/series setup. down is series. Totally dig it. Gives it that extra tbird growl. I picked this up cheap and its a bit beat, the cavity already had plenty of room for the hole and switch....so modding it was the first thing on my mind. I need new tuners at some point, these stick too much.
I love the series/parallel mod on my T-bird. I have it in series most of the time. It roars.

Can you hear it calling? Can you see it hanging round your neck? Oh so you, you know you want it, it's perfect, like new, once in a lifetime chance maybe

Thunderbirds are lovely Sirens that call me, it's quite difficult to ignore!

Truthfully, I really don't have the space in my house for another so I'd have to sell one were I able to buy that Blackbird.

What! Say it ain't so! No room in the royal aerie for another 'Bird?

Come for a visit, you'll see!
Yep, I gotta do that. I keep failing to clear out my schedule, and that's a problem I have to get after!

I'm also at your humble service - I'll store 'Birds for you. I'll look after them really well and make sure they don't feel neglected. It's a solemn promise. ;)

You can play quite a few here, plus sit out back and enjoy a Whiskey Sour with an off-duty Drag Queen :roflmao:

Quick thread hijack. I'm sure that I've read here that some of you have taken your Epi Pro T-Birds and removed the preamp converting it to passive. My Pro V is going to the luthier Thursday for a bit of work, while it's there I'm considering having him remove the preamp, making it passive and having it set up VVTT. Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with that, wondering if the stock pickups that are in it now which I believe are TB+ can be made passive etc. Don't want to spend a whole bunch of money on it replacing pickups etc but I think I'd be more comfortable with it passive and setup that way. Anyone have any input?

My Pro IV was VVTT for a while, but I didn't like how it worked. Mostly because I screwed it up a bit, but that's another story. It's set up VVT with a switch now. Reconverting it to VVTT again only doing it right is on my list of projects. It's passive now. I don't know what the stock pickups were, because I got rid of all of the stock electronics. My understanding is that they work fine passive, but I don't have personal knowledge of what that means.

Or you can go VV and a pair of blanking grommets, or fit a couple of sparkler holders...
