Well, if you insist here's some more pictures. The only thing not original are the strap locks. They were on it when I got it shipped from Seattle. I've plugged it in a couple of times and that's it. It's been hidden away. In full disclosure, the little marks on the neck aren't dings. I could wipe them off, but I didn't know what to use so as not to mark the paint. Also, the whitish on the opti grab is a wax or something from factory. It wipes off, but I thought it would show how little this has even been handled. Thanks again for the wishes and the positive vibes. I still have my player tbirds so I'm not leaving the club.....EVER!

There's a guy on an Australian Bass forum looking for one- I'll make him aware of yours. Nice bass BTW.

I would even bring a bottle of my favorite single malt. It could end up being a bit epic.

Scotch & Vine is just down the street - 200 different Single Malts drool

My "Check Liver" light just came on!

Quick thread hijack. I'm sure that I've read here that some of you have taken your Epi Pro T-Birds and removed the preamp converting it to passive. My Pro V is going to the luthier Thursday for a bit of work, while it's there I'm considering having him remove the preamp, making it passive and having it set up VVTT. Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with that, wondering if the stock pickups that are in it now which I believe are TB+ can be made passive etc. Don't want to spend a whole bunch of money on it replacing pickups etc but I think I'd be more comfortable with it passive and setup that way. Anyone have any input?

Or you can go VV and a pair of blanking grommets, or fit a couple of sparkler holders...

Just wanted to get back to this........ the EMGs in my Jackson have no distinguishing model # that I can find - They're from '93 and so far as I know stock to the bass. The TB'er that rewired his Pro as passive was less than excited about the result, VVTT is fine but evidently the pups are a bit lacking without the preamp.

Good info, thank you. This guy is very experienced, just want to try to gain a bit of info so I can have a semi intelligent discussion with him on the subject (he did ask about the preamp when I made the appointment).

Spent this sunday on a road trip from Copenhagen to Berlin to see Ministry live... :)

Amazing show: The band gave a full set with encores twice - A complete assault on the senses, and very hard, fast and loud...

The bass player Jason Christopher played a Spector Rex 4.

Here's a link to their show at Wacken Open Air two days earlier:

Note to one self: Remember to remove hearing aid before going to a show... I'm on my second day of tinnitus... :/

I also am disappointed with my IV PRO and have been cosidering a couple options. It seems that ky options are:
1) change pups & electronics altogether or

2) sell it.

Chinabuckers and a VVTT rewire!

Happy Birthday to our TBird brother Hillerup!!!!!

I think I just had an idea. What if I put Givson TBird pups in the IV PRO with Gibson TBird electronics and had it wired Series/parallel with a switch in the four hole? What do you guys think about that idea?

Sounds like a great idea! :)

Or you could put Chinabuckers in it, or DeepSIXX pickups in it..
