I had my shot at an Andy meet-up back in 2016. Hard to believe that it's been 5 years already since I drove through Chandler... anyway, I didn't have the heart to drop in with the whole family; wife and 3 kids ages, 10, 12 and 14. As I was cutting a track through Arizona, I saw the sign for Chandler and posted about it on Facebook for Andy to see. It was cool knowing that he was there but I had to keep moving. Maybe the next time it'll just be me and the wife and a dinner and drinks out can be shared.
That like is a ‘no like’ if you know what I meanAnd from the $#!++y news department: Jim Steinman has passed.
'Bat Out of Hell,' 'Total Eclipse' songwriter and producer Jim Steinman dead at 73
My Dad was stationed at Port Kembla for a little while during WW2 before being sent overseas. The guns from the battery were removed when the post was deactivated in '46, the present one are accurate for one of the two pits, they were brought home from the Philippine Islands in the '60s.

Yours truly, it was rather cold and windy that day.

I can understand that a little. Much of that "redneck image" and fighting (which happened) were things really pushed by the record company and management from I understand. From what I know of bands, most all acted like teenage animals you wouldn't want to leave a loved one with for two minutes. Rush being one of the few exceptions off the top of my head. Not many would want their kids to hang with most bands or imitate them in anything beyond musical ability.Didn’t care for the image. Like a lot of the songs just fine.
My two favorite bands. At times I'm not always sure which I like the best.I never really paid attention to LS until about 2005 when I was playing with someone that turned me onto the Allman Brothers. I remember thinking I should check some more Southern Rock. As with many other groups the first 4-5 albums are my favourites. It turned out I had heard much more than SHA and Freebird, I just didn’t know it.
On the surface LS seems like they might be very “redneck”, but check out the lyrics to the Ballad of Curtis Loewe and Saturday Night Special.
I’m going to pitch Midnight Rider to JLB. I think it would suit Chantelle’s voice. My two favorite bands. At times I'm not always sure which I like the best.
Forgive me being slow on the uptake, but I'm confused. Not uncommon.I’m going to pitch Midnight Rider to JLB. I think it would suit Chantelle’s voice.

Remember, for many redneck is meant as a derogatory term. It actually means someone who has to work hard outside. The common man. In other words, they don't have soft hands from a nice office job, which are likely the ones who started using it in a pejorative way.
They have some great words. Songs that tell a story. One you can actually follow and not wonder after 34 times what they are talking about. I also still find cool musical bits within songs that are amazing, but just not glaring. They were great at what they did.
then there’s “Hillbilly”....”Hick”...Redneck - Wikipedia
"Rednecks" as a term originated at the turn of the last century but was "popularized"/proliferated ("weaponized?") in the mid-late '60s by urbanites/city-folk and "hippies"/young long-hairs. It might have initially simply referred to poor farmers (working all day in the sun), but I doubt it was ever used as anything but derogatrive. (similarly; "cracker", "white trash")
too much Anglo Saxonism...not enough Normandism?....I can understand that a little. Don' forget 'yokel' and 'country bumpkin'... also on the other side of the coin - 'city slicker'. I have a pass to list the digs as a person born/raised in the Mid-West. I grew up with all of these terms and sadly more.

Seems like gear located down under is usually priced fairly high, this one looks to be a pretty fair price.
