Thunderbird Club

every time I see those guys I wonder that Jourgensen doesn't have to be shaggin carried on stage...

He was doing really well on the show in Berlin...

He hardly drank anything but some beer and water, and was dead straight and together - He even played guitar on a couple of tracks.

On their previous tour he was totally losing it by the end of the show, and collapsed on stage and had to be carried off stage, while waving at the audience... :)

This one looks better, it's a two pickup though...

Moonshine :bassist:

If it truly looks like the pictures, that is an exact replica of the Gibson.

Gawd, it even says "Made in USA 2016 Model" stamped on the back of the headstock. For that price, you can get a genuine Epiphone.

If Epiphone made a NR like that I bet they would sell like hot cakes!! Haha

Ah, yes, this cabinet made it through the French Revolution...
Story attached to this subject in 2005 I'd stopped cabinet making and went to university but we were on our summer holidays. I was making a new kitchen for us and like a twonk I stuck my finger in the planer (high speed revolving knife), it took about 1/20 of a second to remove the tip of my finger down to the base of the nail.

The day after I was having the dressing changed so I took a couple of photos of it with my phone; feeling pretty low at the time I to cheer myself up (I don't get out much) decided to auction the photos on ebay in the "Really weird" section, starting bid £0.99. As you can expect there wasn't much happening on that auction and no bids. Things changed in the last few hours though, the hit counter started spinning and bids started appearing, the final count on hits was over 100,000 and bids got up to £10. Not much but 100,000 hits? Christ there must be a forum (or two) out there somewhere with people discussing that sort of stuff

Wow... Looks exactly like the Pelham Blue Gibson reissue, that came out 3 years ago - Even the knob configuration is identical...

That is because it is one. That is not the product you will be getting. Those pictures are from an original Pelham Blue Gibson with the logo and the serial obscured with Photoshop (or its Chinese equivalent).

Here is another store using the exact same picture:
-Hot-seller-best-china-guitar-Non-Reverse-Electric-Bass-Guitar-Pelham-Blue-100-MINT-Excellent.jpg

and this is what you are probably going to get:

Rubbish.

Your price was too good and I knew it wouldn't last. I'm sure you're happy/not happy about the sale.

Thanks Larry! I tried to price it fair. There is one on "the bay" for the same price with a headstock repair so I thought my price was ok. Other than the sheer coolness of having that bass in new condition I didn't have much attachment to it(I know...I know...public flogging to follow). I have another blackbird with lots of playwear and thanks to Gaolee it will keep getting played. He gave me a 3 point off his old tbird. I have an attachment to that one as I've played it tons and like a used car, I didn't put the first scratch in it. It's all good......maybe. Now, where can I get one of the non reverse or a Greco? Hahaha! Kidding, time to settle in for a trip through university for my oldest and high school for my younger. Cheers!

I almost impulse bought your Blackbird. I came very close to just doing it for the sake of having it. But much like your situation, it would be stored away in its case and unplayed. Then I snapped out of it... do i really need another bass that sits in its case in my walk-in closet? No, was my conclusion. I may never run across a "factory mint" Blackbird again and especially at that price but I really needed to move on because owning it just didn't make sense.
