The Stingray? Eh, not really a fan of the sounds I can get out of it. It's not bad, just not...me, I guess.
Plays nice, I like the neck, well made, everything on it seems good quality, but...think I'll just stick with Thunderbirds![]()
That was pretty much my experience with the Stingray 5 as well. For me it boiled down to not being a fan of the 3 band preamp. It seemed like I was constantly fighting with the knobs to get the bass to sound good in a given song and then it just wasn't right for the next song. Ya know, you could probably sell that SR5 for about what it would cost to buy that sweet Cherry Red Gibson TBird posted in the in Fremont Craigslist.
