Thunderbird Club

Not that we talk about this too much here, but I always bring at least two basses to a show, why? Nobody wants to watch you change a string on a bass guitar (or any instrument for that matter), watch a pro do it with grace and hear some fantastic guitar playing as well.

He breaks a string around 2:54

I never get tired of hearing SRV play.

Not sure why that one if for me... I am very happy with the natural drive of my YBA 100 and my EHX Hotwax. But more importantly, I see no watermelon theme here.

And finally, I see this:
Proposition 65 Warnings Website - Your right to know (ca.gov)
And I would never buy something with a prop 65 warning... Is there anything that doesn't carry a prop 65?
Just don't go to California with it.

I recall someone said he did that intentionally. He did play with heavy strings, but I don't get the fake part. Haters gonna hate and find something wrong.

Well if we're gonna whip em out, here's one I had for years, my only fretless, sold it about a year ago...View attachment 4281898

Beautiful playing bass, just not a lot of music that I currently play calls for fretless.

The Wednesday whip out...

....well, two, I guess, since that's what's in the pic.
Don't have the Ibanez any more though (and the red strings on the Stingray are now on my Pro 5 - I guess I need to take some new pics :sorry: )...

Really great news! My band The Sean Conneries will be the first band to play indoor at Winter Tavern since the lockdown this Saturday! :hyper: The adjacent beer-garden will still be open/accessible for those who are still hesitant about being indoors and being Memorial Day Weekend, CJ & Corine are anticipating a lot of people in attendance. We're keeping the outdoor start time of 4PM so as not to confuse people changing times at this late date, so it will still be light outside.

So now that you've had the SR5 for a while, what do you think of it?
