Most of mine, I have the neck pickup at 10, bridge at 7.5-ish, and tone at 8-ish.
The others - the CP is: N=10, B=0, T= usually between 7 & 10; the Pro 5.. ..varies. Usually blend a "bit" towards the neck, bass down from max a "bit", treble up from center a "bit".
That thing really needs some knobs w/numbers

Spécialité de la maison: mock-chicken sandwich with greens on the fly, so I can rack up a few minutes of Bird playing during lunch hour. I'm "jamming" with my 12 yo nephew drummer this weekend, he texted me he's ready to go on Nirvana's Heart Shaped Box (he can also "do" Highway to hell, Yellow and Keep your hands to yourself, I'm told). His old man just got his VOX 210 cab to match his VOX AC30 combo today, so I'm afraid I'll have to bring both Traynor DNB 115s if I want the Bird to be heard.

I had a Gibson EB-3 which I (stupidly)sold 'cos it wasn't being played. I later bought an Epi EB-3L to give the 67NR a rest-we were doing a lotta outdoor gigs in SE FL's heat and humidity. The "L" dove like a VAL(Japanese dive bomber*), so I sold it. On both EB-3's I didn't use the bridge pup, so when I needed a short scale, why pay for a pup I ain't gonna use? Happy with my less than $300 invested '09 EB-0.

Pics of it were lost on an old computer that crashed and I've since sold the gig-bag. It was funny because I sold it on eBay and years later it popped up for sale there again! Having said this I realized I mis-said it was for my Factorbird - it was for a Kubicki Ex-Factor which has a not quite as big body.

Mark, is the strap pin at the heel or on the upper 'bout? Mine sits pretty well on me using the pin at the heel, I'd agree with your thoughts about the neck, I wish it were just a little slimmer, more like my Gibsons, but not too much of an issue.

Thunderbird + Tube Amp = Sonic Bliss!

Oh yeah! I was playing my VP with cobalt flats through my PF50T into an Ampeg 810 the other day. Gain and Volume around 12 o’clock was beautiful! I had to turn it down though.

For what they pay around here they'll get what I bring("Cartage? We don't pay no stinkin' cartage!").
Saying that, I usually have my backup Epi EB-0 in the van, and a backup amp that 'lives' in there, but there ain't room anyplace we play to bring that[stuff]in.

I almost always bring 2 basses. I space is limited, I bring a FSO as the spare and just lean it up in a corner.

The tuners on that are Wilkinson tuners. I have them on my 2017 Ebony VP and think they’re a lot better than the tuners on my MIM 7ender Mustang PJ. I don’t know how they compare to they unbranded tuners on the newer VPs.

Mine are a bit fidgety, but pretty good.

Hoping to find some input and guidance, if not sage wisdom, from you fine folks.

I currently have both an Epi Tbird 60’s bass (V-Pro) (tobacco burst), and an Embassy Pro (wanderlust green) on pre order. I’m looking for that classic Tbird sound, which I don’t have with any other basses. I need to nix one of these soon, but every time I think I’ve made up my mind, it changes again.

My pragmatic side says go with the Embassy because when all’s said & done it costs about 1/2 of the Tbird, which leaves cash to do an electronics upgrade on another bass. Problem is, I just can’t seem to get excited about the Embassy, especially due to Epiphone’s decision to extend the bass horn and lose the batwing headstock on the Pro, the two features that, IMO, made the otherwise ordinary looking Deluxe, kinda sexy. The Tbird on the otherhand is drop dead gorgeous. I’ll say that I kinda prefer the look of NR’s, though I don’t think I’ll ever be able to justify the cost. Any input to help sway my decision is greatly appreciated.

I have no experience with the Embassy Pro, but the 60s bass (VP) nails the early TB sound. And of course, is sexy as they come.

You should visit Scotland. I’d love to live in Edinburgh, but it just gets too damn crowded. Beautiful country. And once they warm up to you, wonderful people.
