Thunderbird Club

Did a gig tonight(Friday)at an American Legion we've played b4. Folks like us 'cos (A) we play the songs they know, and (B) we don't blow them outta the room. Mostly 55+ so lotsa 60s/70s rock and slow songs. Had a request for one we haven't done in ~2 1/2 years(Whiter Shade of Pale). We all remembered it(YAY!). 67NR>Rumble100. Plenty for the room.

I think that's how old Alejandra was in the first Warning video I saw.

I just remember that I do this first for me. At 9 I think a bicycle was one of the few things I was coordinated on, and even then I had some embarrassing moments.

I think the earliest video I've seen of them as a band was the Christmas? show/song they did at their school (playing "god gave Rock & Roll to you"). I think Ale was 7? Ish?

Some of the best folks to play for are the hearing-aid crowd. They always want it a bit louder :D

They like us partly because they can talk to each other without screaming when we're playing. The weird part is that a lot of these couples have been together upwards of 30-40 years. You'd think they'd have said everything they needed to by now.:smug:

In another thread, it was brought up that one should have a good turntable. I heartily agree.

One of the reasons I'm as good as I am (which is so-so) is that I started playing trombone at the age of 10. I learned some music theory, and had to get a lot more coordinated quickly. It also got me paying more attention to bass lines, even though from high school until ~10 years ago, I mainly played guitar if I played anything.

You just need that Tech21 Geddy pedal.

Plus, Thunderbirds chose you. Ask them to fill in where you need it. They're vested.
I think if I ever get tired of amps and cabs, this would be my rig.

We have no time for that. There's a "how many of these 100 shows have you watched" thing that's been going around facebook. They're all within the last decade or so. While I've heard of almost all of them, I have seen nary an episode of any.
Other than some sports, I couldn't tell you the last time I watched one of the major networks. Sitcoms or regular programing? Nothing in the last 20 years likely. I've tried a few but my head starts hurting. I prefer documentaries, How It's Made, History and Discovery channel, etc., type things, because I'm sophisticated. Well, clearly not. Who am I fooling? It's been years since I've seen a recent movie. I'd rather read of visit TB.

"100 shows you've watched" on FB? I don't "do" FB so that's out. Prolly 95 I've never heard of anyway. Hockey, baseball, some(American)football, and anything on the crawl that catches my eye(not a lot).:meh::yawn:

Whatever happened to her?

I remember her being the "It" girl in Cream magazine around 1978-1980 due to her Stiff records connection. I thought she was cool because she was from close to where I grew up.

Looks like she did okay for herself. Read the last line of her biography:
