Thunderbird Club

Exactly. I offed my stacker In the 1990s for a programmable linear turntable. You couldn’t stack LPs on it, but you could play the songs on a given LP side in any order you wanted including skipping over songs you didn’t like. It also had a que out to the tape deck and CD recorder that controlled the record, pause and line levels so you could make a copy of the songs in that order on tape or CD automatically. Very handy. I don’t think they make stuff like that anymore.
That's cool, but honestly I'm fine with just a manual turntable I put the needle on and am done for the side. Mine doesn't even auto-retract.

at a rodeo with my boy before tonight’s session with blue hairs:D……

Played an outdoor street fair kinda thing in Spearfish, SD last night. Forecast called for brief thunderstorms right around the time we were supposed to start. The promoter insisted the gig was gonna happen, so we set up thinking if it rains hard, we’ll just take a short break. It started raining hard right before we were to go on, so I bagged up the basses and put them in the equipment trailer. Just as I did that all heck broke loose! 40mph+ winds and sideways rain. The cymbals flew off of the kit and onto the pavement, the large mixing desk flew down the street! Total insanity. We threw tarps over our gear and hid behind them until the storm passed 30 minutes later. The crew and some volunteers jumped up and started mopping up the stage like this was a totally normal thing. The FOH guy brought out a backup mixer and we played a 2 hour show completely soaked from head to toe. One of the weirder gigs I’ve done in a long time! TBird still sounded awesome though :)

EPIC!

Just got headed a revised schedule for Sturgis. Playing 2 shows today and 3 shows tomorrow. That’s 9 shows in 5 days. Gotta eat more Wheaties!

Less carbs, more meat!

Hope a high percentage of the songs use electric bass otherwise that’ll be a serious workout on the old Upright hand. One of these days I gotta hit one of your shows. Any CA stops on the tour?

Rider up!
Love a good rodeo.
Does your boy compete in any of the events, or are you there as spectators?

You are the most interesting man in the world. Or the club. Well at least for today anyway. Who knew you were into rodeo.
….no not me, my son’s girlfriend (sitting legs out with the Stetson) is a rancher (FFA and all that) and competes in the barrel runs…..quite accomplished..
