Jeff knows a thing or two about taking pictures :)
Hope a high percentage of the songs use electric bass otherwise that’ll be a serious workout on the old Upright hand. One of these days I gotta hit one of your shows. Any CA stops on the tour?

They don’t have much of a foothold in Cali yet. We’re just doing Paso Robles, Arcata and Hayward

Paso has some of the best wine in the state. If you get a chance try to visit Sculpterra Winery, outstanding reds, really interesting and unique grounds with sculptures everywhere and live outdoor music on fridays, a must see when in Paso.

Sculpterra Winery and Sculpture Garden – The Top Paso Robles Winery and Museum

That sounds awesome! Thanks for the tip!

quick gig report, three sets of kinda cool tunes with dated cheesy arrangements I had to memorize (charted a couple) expected where they belong and reminded so by the bandleader waving his arms ……no major trainwrecks, happy to report….food was good (tacos….shocker) and totally cool hosts/crowd…..
the drummer saw the 13 and goes “what is that?” and then “a Gibson Thunderbird?” with a snarky chuckle…..dont understand the beef people have with TBirds sometimes…..by the end of the night (played the Gibby mostly) schmoe was going “call me so I can get your number please!”……muzos can be goofy….all in all a fine eve…

The preconceived notion(s) 'bout TBirds are as stupid as the ones about...well, any instrument. With various adjustments, ya can make(almost)any axe sound really good- or really crappy.

Other than some sports, I couldn't tell you the last time I watched one of the major networks. Sitcoms or regular programing? Nothing in the last 20 years likely. I've tried a few but my head starts hurting. I prefer documentaries, How It's Made, History and Discovery channel, etc., type things, because I'm sophisticated. Well, clearly not. Who am I fooling? It's been years since I've seen a recent movie. I'd rather read of visit TB.
Mainly go see things like the MCU movies, some DC, Star Wars, etc.

yeah, we were doing “Moondance” and dude on the baritone (also plays oboe for the Monterey Philharmonic) commented “I thought it was an upright until I looked!”…

I've heard the almighty(?) P sound like hammered :poop:, and an "El Cheapo" sound amazing. Those knobs move, people.(SMH :rollno:)
BTW, oboe to bari? There's a switch! I used to do flute to bari, but no double reeds-ever!

This month seems like it will be good for my movie-going (maybe not my bank account :nailbiting: ); I'm hoping to see suicide squad, jungle cruise, and free guy (maybe the protégé).
going to try to get jungle cruise in tomorrow, after my Suburban's service appt...

Artsy-ish? Thunderbird pic, because why not?

I know someone who works on WDW Jungle Cruise. I'll see the flick for free. And compare to the real thing.:)
