Thunderbird Club

The F15 Eagles that used to go vertical 100 yards or so above a rooftop where I worked were loud, too - especially when we were on the roof to watch. Looking into those little suns, battered by the roar and some heat, was a pretty awesome feeling.
When I went to UC Irvine, one of my running routes took me by the El Toro Air Station (long gone now). It was good fun to get blasted by one of the jets taking off.

This talk of planes has me missing my daughter. She sent this the other day.

Beautiful bass and beautiful area!

Please don't be thinking of "I'm Dreaming......"!

The KY Air and National Guard is based here and C-130s are very common, but they never get old. I love the sound of big prop engines, preferably old. Seems weird, but it's such a cool sound.
As bass players, we would be partial to the rumble of big prop engines over the wail of jets. I love the sound of a big radial, but those are almost non-existent any more.

I like something with 2 to 4 round motors.
Oh, yeah. There are some single engines I love, too. Nothing sounds like a P51/F51. And the F16 Falcon. (Not the Millennium or Millennial Falcons. Different beasts.)

some radial love here as well… 1, 2 or 4 …. Whatever it takes
