I hear rumblings at Gibson. there could very well be 60's spec birds on the way in 2022.
They need to do it!

Any rumblings on colors?I hear rumblings at Gibson. there could very well be 60's spec birds on the way in 2022.
Great news! But should some of us send samples of the real deal so they aim for the right target? Sometimes their idea of the vintage direction isn't that of players.I hear rumblings at Gibson. there could very well be 60's spec birds on the way in 2022.
Better yet: They need to do it right!They need to do it!
Quick, buy up every three point bridge on the market so Gibby will be forced to use a two point!I hear rumblings at Gibson. there could very well be 60's spec birds on the way in 2022.

He said as they are ramping up production of them in anticipation of the new vintage Thunderbird....Quick, buy up every three point bridge on the market so Gibby will be forced to use a two point!![]()
yeah, info like this true or not could hinder present sales….just saying…I'd just be happy if they filled the back orders on the 2021's....
wonder how (if true) it would affect vintage prices..Great news! But should some of us send samples of the real deal so they aim for the right target? Sometimes their idea of the vintage direction isn't that of players.I'll be glad to run mine down there!
I was all ready to come and post, yet again, a video a Japanese rocker did. Comparing real deal vintage reverse and non-reverse thunderbirds to modern Gibsons, Epiphones, and customs with Lulls and Lollars.Great news! Enjoying one of my favorite albums at lunch. Not a bad song on it. Love early Foghat.
I like them best with Tony Stevens on bass but there were some later songs that I liked quite a bit....
Lesser known, but my fave.
Post away if you ever find it again!I was all ready to come and post, yet again, a video a Japanese rocker did. Comparing real deal vintage reverse and non-reverse thunderbirds to modern Gibsons, Epiphones, and customs with Lulls and Lollars.
but
it looks like the videos are no longer up on youtube ;_;
Good question. Possibly down a little, given there would be a Real Contender for the Real Deal Thunderbird. But then again it may generate interest in the Real Deal.wonder how (if true) it would affect vintage prices..
My memory isn't always good, but weren't we swapping strings for the Ashdowns?

More than gorgeous! Luv that color!!!It’s here, and it just sings through that amp. Beautiful finish, plays well right out of the box, and it has “that sound.” That’s the sound I remember from when I played a Thunderbird from ‘77-‘81.
