Thunderbird Club

I hear rumblings at Gibson. there could very well be 60's spec birds on the way in 2022.
Great news! But should some of us send samples of the real deal so they aim for the right target? Sometimes their idea of the vintage direction isn't that of players.;):D I'll be glad to run mine down there!

Any rumblings on colors?
Which color of Tobacco Burst, Black or White would you like? Hopefully they will get imaginative.
Quick, buy up every three point bridge on the market so Gibby will be forced to use a two point!:D
He said as they are ramping up production of them in anticipation of the new vintage Thunderbird....

Definitely a great thought. And in 20 years they will be vintage and all the rage.:D

I was all ready to come and post, yet again, a video a Japanese rocker did. Comparing real deal vintage reverse and non-reverse thunderbirds to modern Gibsons, Epiphones, and customs with Lulls and Lollars.

but

it looks like the videos are no longer up on youtube ;_;

Enjoying one of my favorite albums at lunch. Not a bad song on it. Love early Foghat.

I like them best with Tony Stevens on bass but there were some later songs that I liked quite a bit....

Lesser known, but my fave.

boys will be boys….:D

 Agreed. I prefer the earlier work, generally. One of the bands I never got to see live, and one would have loved to play in (in my fantasy world!).

Isn't it funny how Brits picked up on the Blues, but it was largely ignored and not taken seriously by most (not all) American artists that weren't from the South, even when some of the Brits were having a good go of it!

Post away if you ever find it again!

I found it!

youtube's search algorithm doesn't find it, like it used to. But I found a thread where I posted it before, and the videos are still up.

quoted again for context, Gibson should watch these videos:

The yardbird basses which don't say that they have Lull pickups ----- have Lollars.
