Thunderbird Club

Put it on a credit card,
Spend you child(ren)'s college fund,
Mortgage your house,
Mortgage a relative's house,
Start turning tricks,
Rob a bank...

There are many alternatives (not all recommended).
;)
And that whole Keynesian thing....
Incur debt (which you mentioned)
Print more money
Raise taxes

Wait, that only works in the unreal world of gubment side economics.

*For individuals, one is unwise and others the gubment frowns on when someone else gets in on their action.

As an absolute amateur:
Lightning strike - quite possibly something simple like the power supply section having a component burned. Could be an easy fix.
Schematics for old pedals are nearly as ubiquitous on the internet as watermelon pictures...
I’m hoping that’s it, but I hate working on PCBs.
I won’t say it’s not out there, but a few months ago I spent an hour scouring the net and didn’t find one, with a possible exception of someone charging for them. I’m not opposed to paying, just decided I didn’t want to do the work myself. Assuming they even had it.

So the video finally came out from the jazz workshop I did in August. My drummer friend Paul Mackisoc had called me up and said "We should go jam for a week!"
My song choice was Four on Six (starts about 6:40)

Good stuff! Too much light. Should be in a smoky jazz club.;)

Thunderbird Thursday already?! :jawdrop:

I guess this week, it'll be the last bass standing (or will be the last one, once the others are sold  ):

I was going to send my old Ross flanger to AnalogMan to see if it could be salvaged, but when I checked, he wasn't taking on such work. Anyone have any recommendations? (@Chucky Stiletti , you up for it?) I used to have a set of Ross schematics, but haven't seen them since we moved into this house (a good while back).

It quit working after a direct lightning strike at the last house.

Well over 20 years ago, lightning struck the utility pole at the corner of my property and it wiped the eproms and singed the circuit boards in a bunch of electronics in our home. Cordless phones, vcr's and most notably, the garage door opener. It's weird that it only damaged certain things and left other electronics alone.

It was dark out and I was standing in our unlit bedroom when the strike occurred. The crack was so loud that I'm sure I came off the ground about 2 feet and the entire room lit up in the bright whiteness of 5,000 watts of halogen lighting. So glad it wasn't a direct hit to the house.

Were you all in the house when it happened, Miles?

Thanks Donny! It’s got a voice for sure. Would you say it sounds like the real thing?
Sounds better than a Ric! If my Ric sounded like that, I would have kept it! What strings were you using? I'd like to go back and listen again with earbuds it sounded so good. But tell those cats in the front to cool it and let the bass have more space!:D
