I have a photo I took of the power plant on my wall in my music room that was taken across the street from the Whole Enchilada but same side of the highway if that makes sense. I was able to get a bunch of the boats from the harbor in it.

I don't ever recall personally hearing a band cover it or knew anyone who did. I'll go back under my rock now....

Oh, and speaking of Bond... saw the new JB movie in a theater last night. (only way to see a Bond movie) I've heard people complaining it's this or that but I enjoyed it as I do most all Bond movies. (lot's of things blowing up, cool car scenes, twisted plot, really bad guys and of course JB as the ultimate world savior superhero. (and one good James Bond pun - hated the Roger Moore era where the whole movie was filled with JB puns) It's different in a few key ways but I won't disclose any details. It starts with some classic Bond imagery and music which is a nice touch.
Robi Malik is a very good evil guy.

ha! like the fact you had to remove casters from gear or it would relocate itself mid set? or that the 70+ bartender would poledance on “Honky Tonk” (any song actually) or that the stage and the bathroom were separated by just 1/4” sheetrock? and on and on…

Definitely good times back then! That’s back when all the bars were busy. I used to bartend at Cabrillo Lanes and Jalisco in Watsonville and I could make a good living. The last time I was in the bars there it was pretty dead. At least it was in Soquel at Froggy’s. Edit: the last time I drank in a bar was 2009 just to clarify.
