Dislike frets much?I can pull off weird lookin' I just think the fanned fret thing may be too much.
If I play perfectly in tune, then I'm expected to sing in tune.

You know, in some ways the lighter and less black on the edges looks more like a 60s than the VPs (like mine) that has a healthy black edge. My '64 is not light, but neither does it have a wide band of black like the VPs.I can understand subtle burst differences but the picture Epiphone is using to advertise the “60s” model is quite different than the VP. And so far every non-stock photo of the new 60s I’ve seen online the burst looks exactly the same as the VP.
I get with the name change they wanted to use new pics but I wish they actually looked more like what is being advertised. Maybe they exist but I haven’t seen it yet.
The buyer at that price would already have one.Does it come with a crack pipe?

.....on a not really related note, I found one of the old silver-face Peavey 115 speaker cabs for $40, that needs a recone. Worth it to buy & fix, or no?
Brown Eyed Huh?…..never fails to fill the floor….Or maybe Brown Eyed Girl, or maybe both. Then launch into the great yonder. Except that I don't see a need to expend the resources for cremation. Maybe some accelerant and then getting lit up for the trebuchet launch. A flaming exit into the great yonder. I like it a lot!

they can keep’em both….I prefer Moondance, then Brown eyed girl
totally, if you get hired to get people dancing, BEG is a great trick to have in your bag…..never fails and as you say, no demographic limitations…I may or may not have mentioned this before. September. a 100+ degree day and evening in a parking lot concert in the DFW area. All ages show. Kevin Prosch and band played a nice, long version of Brown-Eyed Girl as an encore. Everyone - and I mean *everyone* - physically capable of it was dancing. Toddlers. Mother wearing a baby. Teens. College students. Middle agers. Old folks. Ancient person in a walker. A couple of loose dogs. Possibly a pigeon, thought it may have been trying to fly away and just vibrating in front of the subs arrayed across the entire stage base; I'm not well versed in pigeon dance.
People yell for Freebird or Stairway. They get off their butts for BEG.
Thx Miles!Excellent bass playing, as usual! Whenever I can get back out that way, I really hope to catch one of your gigs!
The first gen dingwal bird looked better to me than the current one. That said, every clip I’ve heard of one sounds overly bright and crisp in a hifi kind of way, not deep and roaring like other birds. In fact, from what I’ve heard, I’d put the Droc and the Greco at two opposite ends of the bird scale. I tend to favor the Greco end of the scale.I know a few around here really like the looks of them... not me, they're just weird looking and not in a good way for me.
Hey, I can do that…Somebody say White Thunderbird?

I’d say no, unless you have a 15 on hand that would work.White Thunderbirds?!

Domino always filled the floor for us.I prefer Moondance, then Brown eyed girl
Sweet Caroline too…like BEG a big sing along (for folks who don’t dance)….Domino always filled the floor for us.
Now there's a song I can do without. Though for a paying gig I'd happily (enough) learn and play it.Sweet Caroline too…like BEG a big sing along (for folks who don’t dance)….
